Looking for input on wheel and tire combo for 65 Belvedere. I have moved the springs in with spring re-locators, No mini tub. Stock rear end width. I would like to use 15" Weld Draglites Thanks, Jim

I had 9x26 slicks on a 15x8 super stock steelie on my Belvedere tucking tire without rubbing.

P295-50R 15's on my buddies with an 8" rim.

I would say 295 50 15's on it, would be about it. Even with the spring relocated I guess they are kind of a pain. Are you against rolling the fender some? That might get you an inch or so more.

Mike

i have a 15x8 with 4 inch back space with 275 60 and no rub slicks are 26x10 and fit good.

i know for a fact a 275 will fit but not sure if you could squeeze a 295 in there even with a rolled lip.those wells tapper inward pretty fast,so unless you like the stink bug look,do a bunch of measuring to see what will fit your car.

Thanks guys. Thought maybe someone had the same setup and could tell me rim size, BS, and tire size. Hey, you gotta try the easy way first , right?

Here you go. This thread over in the 62-65 area is just what you need. In it I show 295/50-15 up under my '65 with spring relocators. I think that's about as large as you can go without lifting the rear.

If you find that tire not large enough and need to go larger,my 63 Plymouth has the springs moved in with the mini-tub and my street meats are 16.5 X 31 ET Streets.:icon_thumright:

Thanks for the pictures and info. Hemicbx- I like the white wheels, very nice. I would like to have 10" wheel with 5 1/2" BS and 295/50/15. Do you think this would be better with 8" wheels? I was thinking with the springs relocated I could get by with more BS.( meaning back space :). Hemi-itis, love the look with the mini tub, just trying to dance around that!!
