I'm not one to hide stuff under my seats but do have an extra belt in my pickups and one it the back of the Durango but I've found some crazy stuff in used cars that I've bought over the years. One of those crazy things was a baggie of pot....very old pot at that. The story goes....in the early 70's, I bought a 67 Dart 273 V8 with a bad trans and then found a smashed 67 Barracuda with 50k miles on it that had a /6 3 speed for cheap so I bought it too and fixed up the Dart using the entire front underpinnings. For some reason, it had all new ball joints etc so it all went in the Dart. The Dart had a lot of miles on it so why not use the 6 but I wouldn't think a 50k mile car would need a complete new front end but it was there. A year later, my interior was going away (the barracuda interior and blue and my Dart was red so I didn't keep it) and I found a repo'ed 340 70 Duster at the local Dodge dealership (for some reason) minus the engine and trans but the white bucket seat interior was nice and the 3.91 geared 8 3/4 was still in it. All of that went into the Dart including the carpet and door/side panels. Yup, all that stuff fits.

Fast forward a few years and some guy in a Toyota pulled out in front of me and I whacked him good and square and the impact folded the whole back end of his tin can down to the point where both his doors were jambed shut...but it really didn't hurt my car much except it made the radiator leak, dented the bumper and hood a little bit but I was able to drive it home and fix that and continued driving it. Well, 6 months later in mid 76 I found a nice pickup and commenced to using the Dart for a private demo derby. I hit everything I could including side swiping corner utility poles and running over those temporary lighted caution signs to flat out taking short cuts going over the curb and cutting across empty fields without ever slowing down. Yeah, I was pretty crazy back then! Heck, I even side swiped trees if they were close to the road!

When it came time to part the Dart, it was pretty beat up not to mention rusting away but the drive line was still in good shape and so was the interior so I began with pulling out the interior first with the the buckets being the first thing to come out. After I set them against the wood fence, one fell over and something shiny caught my eye....that baggie of pot. The sun had hit it just right and there was no missing it. That mess had been riding with me for years!! It scared me to think how much jail time I could have got for that in 76 and ever since then, I now check anything that I buy used and check it very well!!

I have a Rand McNally map book & a tire knocker, in my Dakota... but I like your story much better thou... I've found some stuff in cars that I've bought, the best was some silk string panties in the glove box of my current RR... found a few roaches/smoke-able types, but never a lid/baggie full, allot of French fries & spare change... found a new set of pots & pans, still in the box, in the trunk of a 68 Charger, that I bought as a parts car years ago... When I lived in Alaska, I always had a knife & pistol tucked under the front of the seat in a holster & a riffle behind the seat of my truck in a sheath, usually both always loaded, just not one in the chamber... you have to tell the cops if they pull you over immediately, that you have a gun but, it's legal or use to be any way, to carry one in the car...

I found half a bottle of jim bean and a bong squished under the rear seat of my honda.
The guy I bought it off of was selling it for his friend and I guess they didn't communicate that well. Funny thing is that it was so noticeable, two huge lumps protruding from the seat and the seat wasn't even clipped into place properly.

Hemorrhoids and my broadcast sheet.
How did that pot smoke up Cranky? Pretty dry I bet.

What's under your seat?

Maybe one or Two in my younger days.....

Sorry guys I don't buy any firearm that is not made in the United States of America! Period! End of Story!

I don't know, a Glock Model 22 with a 15 round clip. Throw it in the mud, shake it off and fire a group the size of a baseball. Handy to have, no pun intended.

Couple years back when my wife lost her mom , we inherated her Olds Alero . she bought it used and never drove it . Thought it was cool but there was a stink in that car. I could never find where it was comming from . we got the car in winter so it wasnt really noticable till summer came . wasnt your normal bad car smell , it was worse . looked under the seats , trunk , vents everywhere but nothing . had it shampooed . same so enough was enough , traded it in for my Ram . it just gave me the creeps . It originally bought from Avis rental fleet . you never know with these used cars . like someone died in it . she got it cheap ?????

Personally the worst thing I ever found under the seat was in an old '73 Chevy we used to keep out back. It had set up for about 2 years, and a family of field rats had made their home under the seat.

I thought I was NEVER going to get the smell out of that truck. Thank GOD it was an old work truck with rubber floors and vinyl seats....

I found these.
