Here are some pics oh my project "General Lee". I know The GL was a 69 but they also used 68's and filled the side markers in and changed the grille . I didn't want to fill the side markers in but I did want the correct 69 tail lights so I changed the tail panel.

Concur snakeyes. You're building some great memories and a lifelong Mopar man there :). Best wishes on the project Lugnut

"Wow" that looks great, I love the General and am building a 69 Charger (not a General). My daughter (7) is a huge Dukes fan so I installed a Dixie horn just for her, it sounds perfect and plays all notes unlike some so if you still don't have one I can dig up where I got it. Congrats

Looks like a nice clean project there. WTG on getting your son involved....he will love working on that car and telling his friends about it :)

Have been a fan of the GL since it first came out. Yours looks great with the Cragars. They also used 70 chargers too.

Your project looks great even on the trailer! Good luck to you and your helper and have fun with it!!

Thanks roadrunnerman I have always wanted a General Lee and I thought that I would change it a little with the chrome mags, they are a off brand Torque Thrust type , I think they look cool

Cool beans! Go straighten some curves and flatten some hills!

Gotta say I used to not be much of a fan of GL clones but I recently picked up watching the show and enjoy the hell out of it, and have always loved the "build it your way" philosophy. That being said, you've got a gorgeous Charger and looks like you've been doing some awesome work! :icon_thumleft: And like everyone's saying, very cool to have your son putting in some wrench time with ya :) keep up the great work and you'll be bangin gears in no time!

I agree with Speed 100% with "build it your way"! And with your son beside you doing this, its something he will never forget, I hope maybe you do a video when you get the old gal up to where you want it!

Will, Thanks for the video! From one of the Good ole boys.. HE Haw!

As a kid in the 70's I loved that show and hearing the opening credits and the sound of the engine as that Charger ran around in Hazzard County being chased by Roscoe P Coltrane .. Catherine Bach wasn't bad either
