had to go back to your post saw this and thought that it was a blink ago that I saw this post about your rescue of a A-12 ,dam that's quick wow seems that your moving along real good that's a lot of work but well worth it thanks for your quick update :headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:

I feel sorry for that poor fork lift, congrats on the start.

That's the way to do it alright - brings back memories from my current project. Did the blasting reveal any weak spots in the rails, or did you get lucky?

Best of luck with the restoration! Your A12 makes me feel like my 64 Fury is actually in pretty decent shape (not something I have EVER felt).

I started this one in August..... I just discovered this site. Since I am new, I'm trying to figure out things here. I'm also working on 3 others.... A 70 GTX 440 Six Pack, bucket seat, console, 4 speed, 4:10 Dana..... A 72 340 4 speed Petty Blue Demon and my wife's Sunfire Yellow with a black painted top, 69 Post Roadrunner, 383, 4 speed, bucket seat, console.

hmmm pictures we love pictures even of the other ones too ,ask people here will help you out when you get a chance go thru some of the other builds

I had to replace the right rear rail..... this car will be back to its former glory....When it's finished my wife and I are taking a ride back to the small town (about 20 minutes from my home) where it was tearing up the roads to visit the gentleman's sister .... as she wanted us to send her some pictures when it was completed....

that's nice your doing that for the family ,I remember when I was young and bought a 1932 ford five window coupe from the original owner it was a super nice one to, broke my heart to show him when I was done with it chopped ,Buick nailhead motor with a jag rear end , first thing out his mouth when I was looking at and then bought ,your not one of those hot rodders are you ,no I said

Just how much stock do you own with AMD? LOL I don't believe I have ever seen anyone replace that much sheetmetal on a single car!!! Cant wait to see your progress.

What was the original color on that? Are you going to paint it back to that?

Blasting is the way to do it, I wish i could go that route and be done with one quick but i have found a small unit from Eastwood that works real well... This will be a sweet car for you and your wife to do that and its a great thing to do for the family, as said! Your other cars sound pretty cool as well. Good luck with the rebuild and have fun!

My wife asked me where that money went!?!?!? :sex: LOL!!!! I actually purchased another car and used original metal except quarters, trunk extensions, floor pan, trunk pan and some other small pieces.....those pics I'll load soon.....the trunk floor, rail and floor pan are in. Doors are original as are the fenders. Aprons and front rails were good!

Lol, My wife asks that all the time, my answer? What money! Look forward to the pictures, love these cars and a A-12, well they speak for themselves! :)

It is originally Bahama yellow and will be restored as close to original as I can get it. That's a big reason I joined this site to find a few parts and get some good feedback.

OMG! It's love at first sight! Nothing like a naked hotie!!

Seriously, good luck man. That thing is gone....

Im a big fan of Bahama yellow.. that original color on this will be sweet!

I have all the pieces except one original H wheel I've been trying to find on this site. I think someone haul a couple of junkers out of my honey hole with the H wheel that belongs on my car? i DID PURCHASE A 70 H wheel on here till I find the correct date. I'm going back to search the area I pulled this baby out of in a week or so. It is bad but wait till the end.... I couldn't let it just sit. It's been a lot of old school drilling welds and grinding out the rotted panels.... then do the same on my donor car so I have it as much original metal as can be.
