Hey guys,

I'm cleaning up a 383 out of 1966 C-body that I am going to drop in my 68 Coronet. I have the complete engine manifold to oil pan minus the front end accessories. Will this engine drop in and bolt to my 68 Coronet K-member?

I got a little ahead of myself and ordered a repop 68-69 Hemi oil pan (for the future), but I'm not sure anybody makes a 3/8" pickup for this pan. I'm also not sure if I'm even going to bother running a windage tray in my temporary engine. But if I do, whose windage tray should I use? Could I run the C-body pan and save my new pan for the future?

Also, are the C-body engine brackets the same as a B-body?

Thanks

I ask the same question a couple months ago and was advised that it will not fit. The steering rubs the pan. I ordered the hemi pan from Summit along with the correct pickup. They offer both the 3/8 and 1/2 for this pan.

The engine is a direct swap. No mods. You dont really need the 3/8 pickup tube. The hemi pan will fit or you can save it for later.

I have a couple original windage trays if you are interested and want / need an original one. Shoot me a PM.
Or you could use the combo windage tray and gasket from summit. Seem like a good idea. Maybe someone will offer feedback on it

I used it and love it, much easier than fiddling with 2 gaskets a windage tray and oil pan. I did mine under the car of course, if the engine is out it's cheaper to go the old way.
