#72 Off To Canada EH

Thanks Dave, see if I can find some M/T ET Street Ice Radials? Hows the Dart resto going.

Still going backwards lately with the deck lid nightmare.
Picked up another hood the other week from down near Port Perry.
Hope it will clean up OK when I get to stripping it.
Nick & Lindsay had a baby girl this morning.
I think I will be taking a break from the dart until the new year now.
Too much snow here so I need to keep ahead of that and the wood pile.
May swing in to see the BEE on new years day if you are going to be around.

Got to spend a bit more time during the holidays between visitors and beverages, Fuel and vent lines put in place, front end coming along now, feels good to be putting these parts back in place. Blacked out the grill opening, maybe a little much but i think a little more is better when it comes to this. Should have the grill assy in place this week doing a little resto on the headlight pots and trim then on it goes. Thanks for the kind words on my resto project, little more grill work done last night--- some assembly work just puts a smile on your face when you stand back--this was one for me.

Thanks for that Boise, well thats about it for the front just have to touchup paint all the the bare metal fender bolts etc. Now its on to wire in the electronic ignition and hide the module under the battery tray, have the dual point distributor which I will squirrel away for another day.IMG_00000134.jpg

Great looking job! Did you buy or make the brake and fuel lines? If bought , where too and would you recommend stainless or mild steel? Thanks

Hey Dean, I personally like to go the stainless route as it looks very clean and I will never have to worry about them again but it dependends to what level of restoration you are going after, if you going to a factory pure resto then you would go to steel tin coated lines. In Line Tube supplied my lines and parking brake cables, the fit was OK--they can supply either. you can Goggle the name and check out there stuff. Good Luck with your build.

Hey Skip,

Looking forward to seeing this car out and about this summer!

I have to ask since it came together so fast and impeccably well done is this what you do for a living or is this just a side hobby you do for your own cars?

The Bee will be out and about as soon as the roads clean up and the weather is nice, nothing like being able to jump into a brand new six pac Super Bee and taking it for a rip---priceless!!!

Just doing this as a hobby and the love of preserving old Mopar performance cars, I owned a few of them as a kid and never lost the bug over the years, retiring from my real job this year so I will have lots of time to enjoy them.

Cheers

Got some vinyl happening, with some help from a dude who's done a few of these tops and it turned out pretty nice, he used this spray grade synthetic rubber contact cement Helmiprene 1685 it has a fast dry and long open time to work within also high temp resistant for those hot summer days, buys a cheap 19 dollar spray gun and chucks it when he is done--kool stuff, also got the head liner in and the sail panels which were a bit of a pain to fuss with--now I can move ahead with the glass and interior.IMG_00000141.jpgIMG_00000150.jpgIMG_00000151.jpgIMG_00000154.jpgIMG_00000156.jpgIMG_00000158.jpgIMG_00000159.jpg

headliner and vinyl look great! i had an old pro do mine as well it is awsome to watch them install the vinyl it loos so easy but i know if i did it it would be bad!

Amazing car, I'd love to have an A12! I think two yellow lights in the high beams would great too!

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys, always nice to here from other members. Just got back from taking a break in Cuba, weather was hot, beer was cold had a hoot, got this guy to run us down the road a few times to go fishing off the cozway in Santa Maria. A Coronet was the last thing I thought I would see---he's kept her running all these years and man he was proud of it.515.jpg516.jpg
