Have a line on one seller is getting low balled real bad and needs moparian advice, I have never had one so do not know the value right now, from what I know - all original 383 automatic numbers matching car never raced is worn but is a survivor car.

What would that go for anywhere?

I think he said color is yellow this pic below is badass not sure a 383 auto would look like this but it could?

I think much more info is needed; axle package? N96? Console? Rust? Interior color? Missing parts? Survivor is a term that is much over used.

I agree still working on getting more info and pics, lets say the paint is faded down to showing factory primer or metal in most spots, the interior is torn up and dirty, California car so no rust body straight metal in good shape what is a rough estimate you would look to pay? just trying to make sure he gets what it's worth and not get took by some Chevy guy looking to polish a turd and flip it. So to speak lol

need more info to venture a guess
rust?options?n96? completeness?

if it is the gy3 car that has been for sale forever at 12k
its a 7500-8k dollar car at best imo

Guys need to wake up and realize the market is dropping by the day. The good times are over when it comes to big $$$$ for muscle cars. Todays low-baller is tomorrow's best offer and these folks need to realize that.

I saw an ad today that I actually had to contact the seller to verify. The ad was for three 1973 Gran Torino Sports for sale for a little over $3,000. These cars as projects were selling for $4k-$6k as late as a year ago, so I thought the ad must be wrong and he wanted $3k each, but nope... he's selling all three cars for $3k! A 73 Gran Torino Sport project car for a grand? Never thought I would see that again.

Yeah, but it's a 73 Torino. Cars like fast back Mustangs still seem to be in high demand. It's about the best of the best and most desirable these days. We are in strange times now. Real-estate is being sold at record levels around my parts and it seems like any pile of crap lot, house or commercial building is sold ad soon as a sign goes up and with multiple offers. Everyone is on the "for sale" bandwagon. Car buyers however seem to be more selective. It's just these CL idiots that drag some rusted out pile of crap 68 Dart from under a tree and ask $8K for it and say it will make a great SS hemi clone. There is a 70 six cyl Challenger that is beat to hell and they guy wants something like $15K for it. The add says "looks just like the Vanishing Point car just before the wreck." I want to reply that it looks like the VP AFTER the wreck.

Regarding the 71 Super Bee Charger, it's not top tier. Cool car with the Bee package and all, but it's not a 69 Charger, or a 69 Camaro, or a FB Mustang. He'll be lucky to sell it for $15K. I have a 66 hemi Charger that I can't sell so I will likely drive it into the ground.

Really going to depend on the condition. I only paid $550 for my '71 Charger 500 383-4bbl, auto, but that was in 1988, and every panel on the car had hail damage and/or dents along with the normal lower rear quarter rust.

71 superbee balue

The 71' I think is underrated compared to pre'-70 mopar values, but they are coming up, as many people are getting tired of 10k pre-70 rust bucket projects. I would also like to see more, as I have been looking for one of them. In all fairness to The ford Torino, it isn't the best example, as theTorino's have never been a hot seller, even to ford guys. I had a rust free 69 GT 390 four speed that ran great, no rust, but needed paint and an Interior. I paid 3,500 for it in 2008. I decided to sell it, for 8000, but I couldn't get 5,000. However, My body and paint guy is a die hard ford nut,and had the same car in 1972, and loved it.So, I traded it for two paint jobs, one on a 66' Dart convertible, and the other a 68 GTS. Today the Torino would probably sell for 7-8000. But a 69' charger in that condition in 2008 or today would be 15k or more, and it would sell ten times over before one Torino would go, unfortunately. The Older mustang,67-70 is a whole nother story.
I also had a 68' cobra Jet 428 four speed at the same time, wrong 428 engine in it, and had been rolled.Top squished, and all. I sold it to a crazy ford guy for 10k. I quit dabbling in fords after that.
I would like to add that I thought the Torino was a great driving car, and never understood fickle ford guys. I personally like the car, much more than a chevelle of the time. Maybe because it was different, And it didn't say chevy on it.

Yeah, but it's a 73 Torino.

Big mistake there. :) I know lots of car owners who think their marque or model is somehow excluded from market forces, or more or less succeptible to market trends, but the reality is as one goes they all go. There's a guy in our club with a GTO Judge. We were discussing how fast Mopar values were dropping and he went to great lengths to tell me how his car was immune to value decreases because of desireability and rarity, and that Mopars had been artificially over-valued in the market and that was why "their" values were dropping. He was 100% right on Mopar values, but now he's griping about how his Judge's value is dropping. I wish I had his commentary from 2009/2010 on tape. :)

This guy may be selling Torinos, but what I see is a guy cutting his price 60% to get out from under them now. There's also a lot of Challengers hitting the market around here for about $5k, which is about half what they were listing for a year ago. These are the smart guys who realize the buyer market is shrinking much faster than the supply of cars, and every car that sells for $5k is one less buyer in the pool for a $15k car.

Just want to recognize JOHN HERLITZ for designing the Legendary 71 RR. Truly an American Icon. A beautiful brute it is.
