Sounds like prices ain't bad but the A855 isn't available yet? How can that be a blow out sale....?

Prices on their rebuilt A-833's are marked down by a pretty good bit from their normal prices. Not sure if there is more to read into this than just a big sale on A-833's? Hmmm

I just got off the phone with him yesterday for other business but he did say he just started shipping the new 5 spd. If I read anything into this it will be he has no interest in selling the OEM 23 spline OD tranny, when (A) he has the 18 spline OD gear set and (B) a new 5 spd ready to ship.

I was half joking. Just stirring the pot on a Friday. Need something to get me through the work day. Haha.

Available soon 855 has been available soon since 2010. I thought the other thread "anyone ever see one of these" was about the Passon 5 speed.

the 855's are rare as unicorns, I've only seen one thread with an actually delivered "Bolt in"-with no mods-Replacement Hemi 18 spline "5 speed O/D trans"... not sure what the hold up is...

Note the date in the link, 2010. Now MCG is touting it as one of the 10 best. May be if it EVER comes to market.

for what it's worth there's a short article on the 855 in this months issue of mopar muscle. just a follow up. nothing beyond it doing what it's supposed to do... bolt in and hold up. good to see. will probably get one on order in the the next couple months.

I guess it's not a bad deal on the rebuilt $750 66-69 B-Body 833 23 spline... But I guess his statement about he was going to make a 1st run of 100 total units of the 18 spline 855 0.70% O/D 5 speed for A, B & E body cars, so still rare as hens teeth {if only roughly 33 of each Body Style are going to be available}, that's only if I read the posts on that other forum correctly, I assume there's a waiting list now too... someone commented get on the list now, just recently... I only read Jamie Passons responses, not the whole 20 pages questions... at one point he was not happy with his suppliers parts run availabilities either, about to give up, or sounded/read that way anyway... that thread was started Dec. 1st 2010

so heres a question, why is jamie not a vendor on this site? i would think a smaller growing business like his would benefit from member sales? this is not to cast a dark light on him or his business. it just makes me ponder? i guess the same could be said about a lot other businesses . that 750.00 figure for the 23 spline is very appealing.

The thread goes for 3 years and has lots of questions answered by Jamie from passion himself. Takes a long time to read even just all of his posts about updates and progress of the 855 with lots of setbacks and delays it's no wonder it took so long and then the test needed to make sure it was ready to sell.
There is a waiting list that was around 300 people and that's being worked through now.

I personaly spoke with Jamie in December and I am somewhere around 350/360 on his list for the 855. Yes they are rare as hens teeth right now because He just started shipping to customers. Hopefully there will be 360 more teeth out there before I put the Road Runner away before next winter.

Hope you are younger than me. Or maybe the grandchildren can install it.

Put the Passon 855 on milk cartons. "Missing. How many years can something be hyped?

By the size of the wait list I'd say hyping it that early has worked in his benefit! It's nice to go into production and start shipping something knowing you have 500 units sold already! It just better live up in quality and customer satisfaction once received in the hands of those waiting or there will be no coming back from that

Yeah, I'm not getting any younger either. Sure would be nice to have a stick with OD and it would be tough enough to hold up to track abuse with 500 hp. Maybe it's time to start hunting down some old Doug Nash unit?
