I keep going back to look at the pictures of this 69 Roadrunner A12. Car looks nice, but was on e-bay for quite a while for $42,995 buy it now with no takers. Now I see they have raised the price to $45,995. What do you see as drawbacks to this car. Color? Automatic? It seems like a real decent price for an unmolested A12. I can't figure why someone has not bought it.

Streetside says this is a real A12 and was restored in 2012 or 2011. Anyone here know any more about the history of this car?

RK has an A12 clone for sale for $69,995, marked down from $79,995. Very nice looking complete restoration, but still not a real A12. Makes the real A12 at Streetside look priced pretty decently.

Doesnt look like an a12 car to me. Wrong wheels. Its painted a different color than factory. Wheel opening moldings added. It looks alike a dressed up road runner with a glass hood rather than an actual 69 1/2 car.

I would need to see the complete # run down on the tag. Alfull funny that the A12 is not all rusted up like the rest of the #'s ??

The vin # in the window denotes it as a 440/6bbL
But You need to run the #'s on the fender tag . Just funny that if thay know what an A12 is then why chaange it to look like a stock runner ?!?!?
If thay would have the rite parts on it it would sell for more and That my freinds is what Car Flippers Do !

looks like a mediocre restoration (if you can call it a restoration) looks more like a Hodge podge of parts. missing the correct air cleaner. no shots of the fender tag, does it have one? somebody may have just slapped a vin on it. alot of things that are not correct for someone who wants a a12 car.

wedge69 is right.why is it that the a12 part is almost perfect and the rest of the tag is almost toast.bit too weird for my taste.no way it just happened that way.

oh i see it now, fender tag that is.

The plate in the dash codes out as 69- 2/dr coupe, 440 ci 3x2V V-8 390hp
If I was to be looking at it I would look at other #'s on the chassis and parts to conferm. BUT this being Posted for sale as an A12 car then why not put it back to stock ? These Car Flippers Know how to make money ! I can't see them letting that kind of money on the table ?!?!
Unless there just Mopar Stuppid !
My little rant Sorry.:angryfire:

Not to be an *** but.....

If it's a tribute it should say that.

and he is right a real a12 would fetch much more.

Wrong - from quick glance
paint
wheels
no tach in dash
trunk matt
Wrong air cleaner set up
Colum shift auto should be floor mount hurst ball 4 speed.

probably more not an a12 expert only a wannabe :)

my 69 has a lift off fiberglass hood does that mean I can call it an a12? No way! I decided to not even call it a tribute since it is so far off. Now I just call mine badass fun.

Question, did A12's come with 120 mph speedos? Cuz that one has has one.

Either way, it's not a numbers matching engine which hurts the value large.

Yes a 120 clock. And thay did make some Automatic also. As stated it was and option and I did look at one some years back that was a True A12 . It was 4 speed. It was a real pritty brite Blue with a White Vinale top and white inside. That thing was MINT !! No cash had to pass ! Very sad day :sad2:

I'd be walking away from that real fast. If as they say, it was a real A12, then whoever restored it screwed up big time, and killed much of the value of the car. If it's a tribute, then they should've said so. Since they didn't, I wouldn't trust them at all. There are too many little things about this car that are not right.

where is the rest of the seat belts? Missing on the front near the sill plates in all pictures.
Also wrong headlight bezels, and the exhaust tips are for small blocks and square.
should be oval for big blocks.

But I am jus nit pickin'

Matt

Was there a recent post here stating the A12s were coded as 383s?
I am never one to say "never" so, I reserving my judgement on this one.
It may be, it may not.
We shall wait tp see.

A12s started as 383s, E63 on the fender tag. They were then coverTed to A12S which over rides the E63 on the tag

Dont get me wrong, it's a nice car, but for the same cash many of the details could have been done right.

With all the aftermarket restomod stuff,Why NOT put disc brakes on it? Frame off resto ? I hope not! Nice car tho, hopefully mone will look that good one day.
