Some may remember, when i bought my GTX, it had one drum and one disc brake on the front. Kind of an odd setup to say the least.

I'm ready to get it off jack stands and back on the ground. To do this, i need to come up with a matching set of disc brakes to go with my disc brake booster/master.

From what i've seen, these ones on eBay are the most reasonable. But if they're junk, i'd like to avoid them. Anyone use these before? Or heard anything about them?

I'm not against buying original pieces and rebuilding them, but from what i've seen, the price of this kit is pretty unbeatable.

Looks like a nice kit for sure . I never used it as I ran other manufactures and so on. I have the wilwood set up now on mine. But for that money and the list of parts that are all over the counter parts I can't see you going wrong with it. I also like the cross drilled rotor upgrade.
Feed back look good ? I forgot to look. If so that tell you alot about the seller !

99.6% positive with over 27,000 feedbacks. I like the idea that you don't have to go back to the aftermarket vendor for parts. Need a new caliper, pad, rotor, bearings, etc. - your local parts store will have'em for cheap.

Yep ! I have a mag artical on how to buld this from junk yard parts that I need to post some time. But this guy has it all done and at a oritty good price I think.

That's a respectable price.

Do you have a factory front swaybar? If you do, then make sure to get the right parts so you don't have to swap calipers left to right.

If you get a kit, be sure it is for the same bore as the Master cyl you already have......................MO

I'm leaning toward using the RAMMANs 11.75" brakes .. all original parts but 15" rims are mandatory

Do your self a favor and just go with Wilwood......a little more expensive but well worth it.......I have plans to convert my 70 RR to 4 wheel disc and talking with other classic car car owners who have done the conversions I was surprised how many used a less expensive kit(s) and wound up later replacing those with a Wilwood kit...........

a little more expense is very difficult. im not expecting to stop like a ferrari. Just to stop reliably in daily driving. Wilwoods are twice as expensive, or more. I dont doubt the quality, just the neccesity.

Great feedback, but Mopar parts from Mattsclassicbowties?

I though I had run across some shade tree mechanics on my cars, but one drum and one disc brake beats anything I have ever seen hands down. Ask if the guy will sell you half a kit. :happy3:

Looks identical to the kit Right Stuff and a bunch others are selling for our cars. Haven't bought from those folks (Matt's), but I have a very similar kit. I'm real happy with the braking performance. Hands down better braking than drums.

Good luck '67.

I'm sure they would be, drums on all four corners can sure be exciting. I think i'll pull the trigger on these and see how it goes.

I bought a proportioning valve from RSD and it worked great.

There is another thread on this site somewhere with complaints about this brake system(RSD). You should search for that thread before you make your decision.

That set is from right stuff detailing. Click on the information tab on the ebay add and it will tell you.

I have that style of kit, but later went and got the 11.75 rotors (drilled) and caliper adapters. My set is also power and it will throw the seats thru the windshield if they weren't bolted down.

Really? What bore diameter and what booster are you using?

I build only Mopars and have bought 4 complete kits from Matt. He is very helpful with any questions. These are the same parts you get from other companies. I have put over 17 thousand miles in the last 3 years on my 67 R/T with this kit and factory rear drum brakes. The car stops very well and I have logged many miles along the curvy PCH in CA and Vegas traffic with no problems. This kit is a very good choice for a reasonable price. He also has other options and will make sure you get the correct bore and prop valve. I have done my research. Steve

Wilwood master is a 1 inch, and the booster is whatever came with the kit. Also I used a Wilwood combo adjustable proportioning valve.
