Take a look at this thread www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/showthread.php?29836-67-Charger-WIW for some background info. Well, I pulled the trigger and bought it. Asked him what he needed for the Charger I was interested in. Price - $500!! Even with no motor/transmission and needing a windshield, I figured it was a deal. It's got a decent interior, all the external trim removed from the car is inside and it's virtually rust-free to boot. He can't remember if the headlight motors work or if the gauges light up, so I'll find out when I get to power it up. Still got to get it moved to the house but that can wait for awhile - darn pesky winter! I'm stoked on it and with the early Hemi waiting for a home, this will be it. Will be posting a few pics but gotta find them in the computer. Wish me luck on this project.

Very nice. Good luck.
At one time nothing was available for restoration. That has changed quite a bit.
Hollar when you need help with the gauges and the headlamps which probably don't work.

Jeez! I've been looking for a 67 Charger for a while. I've had a67 440 with 8 bolt crank and 915 heads sitting under cover in my garage for over 6 years. Thought it might go nicely into a 67 Charger. Good luck with the build!

He's got another 67 Charger, great body and paint, running 383 4 barrel ( pretty sure it's a 4 barrel), factory AC, PS that he's willing to sell. I'm sure it'll be nowhere as cheap as the one I bought.

Not as cheap doesn't bother me as much as the current inability to get out of the snow. I've also got a parking problem at the moment. In other words, I couldn't make the 650 mile trip for at least two more months. I'd be interested if the Charger lasts that long.

Snow! We're due to around 14 inches tonight and tomorrow! Most likely it'll still be in his storage building for the foreseeable future. He's not actively promoting it's sale as he's now out from old financial obligations and is working full time again. Check back in a couple months if you're still interested.

Pictures !!!!

This is all I have on the computer. When he was hauling stuff to the metal recycler for whatever he could get for it, he pulled the 400 and 727 as shown in the last picture. So there's no motor/transmission which is idea for me since I want to use the 392 in it.

Beats the hell out of that turd on American Car Prospector paying $8000 or something for basically the same car. Youre right, stole it.

I would say you got a very good deal. Looks like the wheels are all aluminum from a 78 Dodge or Cordoba. Best of luck in the rebuild.

Great start for your project, he had enough parts to build 2-3 of those cars, hope you loaded up while he had all that stuff.

The wheels are from his 360 4 barrel 79 Cordoba T Top car (which is available for $500 is case there's any interest). He's getting the wheels back as the plan is to use a brand new set of all chrome magnum 500s when the time comes.

The good news is the Charger is sitting here at the house! The plan today was to get all the spare parts loaded in my truck before the rollback guy got there. That will have to wait till another day - when we got there, the Charger was already loaded on the rollback thanks to his brother. Not wanting to wait around (guess time is money to the guy), I had to leave with the rollback following me. I did a partial inventory of what was inside when we got it to the house and looks like most all of the exterior trim is there. Stuff not present that's obvious (and hopefully in his trailer) - the instrument cluster, wiper motor (which should be either a variable speed or 3 speed in looking at the wiper switch), the "R" in the taillight area, the passenger side parking light and front fender trim (fender turn signal?}, passenger door panel and gas tank filler tube (didn't check for a gas tank but that's no biggie). I'll meet with him in a couple of weeks and get back out to his trailer.

Major plans for it: use the rebuilt early 392 Hemi I have for motivation, convert the 10 in front brakes to 73-76 A Body discs, new upholstery (probably a color change from the dark blue (or maybe it's black) to white and of course get it presentable looking.

And of course in the excitement of getting it unloaded and mollifying the wife - her exact words 'looks like a piece of junk" - I forgot to take more pictures. If I get back from the Dr's in time tomorrow, lots of them will be taken. I used to have a 65 Coronet 440 'vert, a 67 Satellite, my beloved 69 Charger and a slant-powered 71 Charger, so I'm stoked to be back into B Bodies.

An instrument cluster would be first on the priority list to find in his parts stash. Get all of them you can get your hands on.

I was discussing the instrument cluster with him this evening and he knows for a fact that there was a complete cluster in the car. He is of the opinion that it got removed by person(s) unknown for whatever reason. He suspects a family member but couldn't prove it. Knowing how expensive they are even dead, I may end up doing a custom cluster with a set of gauges I have on hand. We shall see.

I have plenty of cores now to build you a correct EL working set if you want to go that way. The EL lighting was one of the very cool items on the first gens. You got the car for a steal is right! Good luck with the resto...
