Ok well I just purchased a 440 motor that has Indy heads, or so the seller said they were. My only problem is I though Indy stamped all there heads with the Indy logo. Being a holiday I can't reach anyone at Indy right now. So any light on Indy making heads without there logo stamped on it would help. Thanks

First off how can ANYONE tell you what you have with out SEEING THEM !
You need to post pics

There are a few people on here running Indy heads on a n440. One is 67 Coronetman. Check with him.

I can't say that "all" of their heads are marked but all of the ones I've seen are. Usually has "Indy" cast onto the ends, typically "ICH" cast inside where the rockers go. I can't imagine Indy not putting there mark on all of their heads someplace.

Assuming big block Indys. Are there oil lines coming from the rear oil galley to the heads? Are there 1/8" pipe plugs in the front of the heads (you can see it on the drivers side head). If not I would bet not. I bondoed the ends of mine where the Indy logo is cast.

Wow DVW, that is quite the intake you have on your 426! Is that a street tunnel ram with a 2-4 barrel top? I'll bet that makes some big horsepower. What kind of 1/4 mile ETs are you getting with that one? Have you dynoed the motor? Would like to know how well it runs with that intake and the Indy heads.

The motor is 572". 14.8-1, .800" roller. The intake is an Indy Cross Ram. Never been on the dyno. It's in a 64 Belvedere. 9.25@147.
