Recently purchased the low mileage wagon...52K miles. 273- 3 on tree, radio delete, manual steering and brakes..Took the front seat out to get reupholstered. Pulled up the mat and found I needed to put some floor pans in.. Here's my questions..Do I leave it on the column or make it floor shift since I'm replacing floor pans?? Have a line on a pistol grip shift handle if I want it.. Is this wagon worth keeping stock??? I bought it to be a driver/cruise nite car while I redo my Dart. Not looking to put alot of money into. What's it worth??? I was told there were less than 200 made like this???
Thanks in advance..
Little history on the car.. Bought it from original owners brother, sat in a barn for years.. vinyl seats rubber floor mat. Engine runs great, drives nice

Thanks
Bob

It would be more desirable / sell for more with the 4 speed over the 3 on the tree if that's what you are asking and will be one hell of a lot more fun. That get's my vote if you are asking

Modify it to suit you!! Imo, anything is better than a 3 on the tree.....

4-spd on the floor - either regular 833, or OD for a real economy cruiser!

Leave it 3-on-tree, very unusual. They're also fun to drive despite what some say. Will save you $ as well, all the 4-speed stuff will add up to more than you think.

4 on the floor, but you will never find a rubber mat for it so you will have to change it to carpet.
3 on the floor and no trans mods needed and it will still look like a 4 speed. There are several 3 speed after market shifter kits out there.
do not use a pistol grip, not period correct.
If you do decide to go with the floor shift and carpet I would be interested in getting the rubber mat for my 69 Plymouth SW.

Nice wagon snakeyes..I've seen pictures of your car online..I like the billboard and blackout between the lights

I would mod the rubber mat and do the 4 speed, next best is to keep the 3 on the tree .. either is cool

Do the car the way you want it. It all depends on how much $$$ you want to invest in it.

the red 68 is not mine ,I just posted the photo for you and in hopes it might inspire you to make yours one fine ride, the wagons can look very nice when done up :headbang: thanks though
