The previous owner of my 69' Coronet towed it out of a barn and wrinkled the drivers side quarter panel against a post. I have located a good deal on this quarter panel, but I am not familiar with these types. Will this be hard to match up to a body line up top? Am I better off buying a full quarter?

Thanks for the input

I have used those before a little work but they look good when you are done

If you decide to go with a new skin, try to keep the original marker lite. Many of the aftermarket quarters have it located incorrectly. A quarter of an inch may not seem like much, but it will be should you decide to put a tail stripe on the car at a later date.

If I had to do over again I would leave as much OEM metal on the car and cut a patch out of the skin you showed.

My advice would be if your a novice at it buy the full quarters, the ones you posted are allot trickier to install correctly because of the looooooooooooooong weld seam. Welding that big of an area takes allot of patience and finesse to avoid warpage where the full quarters are just a bunch of plug (spot) welds just like the factory did it making them a safe way for even a novice welder to get professional results. I had great luck with the AMD full quarters on my 69 Charger. Good luck

The AMD's I used were really nice needing very little work. Opening the whole side of the car up was a blessing because I was able to take care of some things that were just waiting to wreak havoc later on. I can see your point but I really like the peace of mind in knowing there is nothing hiding in there.

Lucky you! At least you can buy FULL quarters. No such option for the 70 model.

You will probably save up front on the quarter skin, but will pay the body man a lot to install. The overall cost of purchase price plus installation may be pretty comparable to what the full quarter plus installation will cost. With the half quarter, you will have a witness seam in the trunk, plus a line of bondo along the entire distance of the quarter. With the full quarter...factory seams. If you plan on keeping the car, the price difference will be within a couple hundred bucks overall. I would lean toward the full quarter just because I like the idea of the factory seams.
