The charger is on the back burner till I finish the GTX. Charger is 318 with 3 speed on the column. The GTX will have a non matching drivetrain, because I got it as a roller and will have a color change to Sublime.

two very nice projects :headbang:

You got some work ahead of you on the charger. Looks complete from what i can see. Keep us posted.

Good to see you on here. Stop by some time when you can. LG

Love the sublime. When I finish the 70 Challenger they will match.

I have a 70 Limelight RR. Draws a lot of attention at the cruises. Good luck with the projects.

Both great projects! I wish you luck with them, two really great looking cars when there done and sitting side by side, Id have a hard time figuring which to do first and when there done, which one gets the maiden voyage first! :)

If the were both completed at the same time, my wife would probably help with the maiden voyage and drive the Charger, because when it's done, it will have a 440 & 4 speed and she would have fun with that.
The GTX will have a 440 and a 727.
If I could get any work out of that 71airgrabberRR guy, the GTX would be just about ready to go...He always has excuse that his car is on the rotisserie.....LOL

Very nice pair, looking forward to seeing them come back to life. Congrats

May be but he is fast and good at the same time! :) He is one that i would not bet against him doing both and pulling it off at the speed of a Overhawlin show and twice as good!
I like both cars myself but the GTX im afraid would be first on my list of cars to do, I like both Plymouth and Dodge but Plymouth always seems to wins out with me, a 440 4-speed in a 68 Charger sounds like it would be one fun maiden outing for sure though.. envy bug showing its wicked teeth i think lol.. Cool projects, have FUN man!!!

Your 68 looks like mine, lots of patina! lol 68s rule!:headbang:

Definately alot of patina. I haven't started tearing it down, because I am out of shelf space. As soon as I get the GTX further along, I can clear the shelves and start the tear down process of the Charger. Like everyone else, it takes time and money. However, I have all of the metal to get the GTX done, but unfortunately I am not trusting myself to replace the rear frame rails, because it may go down the road crooked......

Do you mean the entire rear rails?,. because I did partials and that was not that hard to do.

Yeah, both sides. I have a friend who restores mopars for a living and he suggested to do full rails. I have a parts car with good rails. so i'm going to pull those, clean and dp90 them and slide them under the gtx.

Both cars will look great when done. I think you're right in doing the GTX first. It seems to be the one that has the least amount of work to get completed. Nonetheless, they both will be a blast to drive.

I'd restore the GTX first. Then I can talk you out of your Charger because you will be having too much fun !!!! Lol

Give me a shout if you need any help.

Seriously the GTX would be my choice to restore first. It's a pretty solid car, and you already have a lot of parts on hand to start with.

This will give you more time to gather parts for the Charger.

That's two great looking and highly desirable projects you've got there .. welcome to the forum Camsdad !

and thanks for inviting him 71AG !!
