I have a 1970 Dodge Super Bee Plum Crazy with white bucket seat console interior. the car is a project with solid frame rails. Does need trunk pan and floor pan. Has ram charger hood that is in great shape but I do not have any duct work. I have a rebuild able 69 383 HP engine and 4 speed to go with the car. I have 1 bucket seat and a complete console. this will be a beautiful car when it is done. I do have fender tag and clear title and no build sheet. Body numbers match the Vin. $8,500 firm. Shipping from MN.

I debated on responding just yet, but I'm excited!
I bought this car, but was offered it without the engine and 4 speed.
the tracking number shows that the title will arrive at my house sometime tomorrow!
I am currently considering having the seller install a new floor and trunk pan. That would would mean that I wouldn't take possession for a couple of months, but it would be nicer car when I do....

This car will take me some time to actually get on the road. My oldest is off to college in the fall, with a sister two years behind her. I was planning on waiting to purchase a Bee, but I couldn't stop looking at this one.

I am going to need a carrier to haul it to Texas. Anyone got any recommendations?

My recomendation?
Keep it.
Get it to Texas, have someone near you install pan.
Slowly restore it.
Put in a 440 disguised as a 383.

too rare a car to let go.
Yup, it is a lot of money.
You'll have another $15K in it at least.

Problem restoring cars in rough shape?
Answer: You may be able to purchase another car for $25K alreadty done.

yea, I've been around the old cars for some time. Here are a few that I have owned. The Camaro is my daily driver. The others have long been sold. I do miss my Cuda. My friends couldn't believe that I let that one go.
I look forward to the build. That's the funnest part for me. I never did learn to weld, or I'd do it myself....

Congratulations! It will be a great car when done.

A couple of suggestions based off of some learning from my 70 Road Runner project:
1) Do not have the seller weld in the new floor and trunk pan. Why? Nothing against the seller at all; he might do a fine job. The problem is, you won't be able to evaluate other elements of the body. Do you need the driver side inner wheelhouse? Quarters? Rockers? etc. In my opinion, better to evaluate it all so you can more easily and cleanly do whatever is needed.

2) Prepare for more rust that you don't know about. My car is a California car that sat outside in PA just a couple of years. I knew it needed a trunk floor and lower quarters, but found more rust and old body damage in places where I expected it to be good. Be prepared for it. As a friend told me: "these cars eat sheet metal".

3) Take it slow and make the process of restoration part of the fun.

Again, congratulations on the new car! Enjoy and ask questions here - there is a lot of good knowledge at this site...

Good suggestions, however, if the seller is whom I think it is, he is very capable and would know what to look for. He does some of the better work around, from what I have seen.

Cool car no doubt but 'rare'? Looks like a fairly straight forward WM23 purple and white four speed car.

I can't say that I disagree 69
I guess the combination of the color, hood, 4 speed and bucket seats/white interior
but we could narrow down lots of cars that way

I bought the car because it fit what I wanted: N96, 4 speed, bucket seat, rally gauges....project

I always need something to tinker with.....I'm the only guy in a house full of females.....cars keep me "sane"

Yeah, the seller would do a wonderful job for you. He is very well known in the area and does restorations on some of the rarest and most expensive muscle cars in the area. Very good.
