69 440 six pack motor

Wow you sure got a lot of information in this thread. Fact is the VIN is questionable and that makes the rest of the deal suspect! Most of what I've read is 100% correct. Some is not! It is not an A12 motor!

Is there such a thing as a HP2 motor??

Posted via Topify using iPhone/iPad

Yes. It means that it was an HP assembly built on the 2nd shift. There's nothing special or unique about it. It was made to the same specs as an engine built on the first shift; just different guys putting it together.

what cars were the 1969 440 4V HP motors put in ??? it looks like the only 440 RR was a six pack car.

For the B bodies, the 440-4 came in the GTX, Coronet R/T and Charger R/T.
A bodies had the limited release 440 Darts and Barracudas.
Select C bodies had the 440-4 HP available.

Yes, the only Road Runner and Super Bees that got a 440 were the 440-6bbl cars.
