That last picture looks just like the one that was running in our local newspaper for about a month. The price was $8500, but the phone number was different. I'd say SCAM.

I sent an email to the seller mentioning that I am very interested in the car and this is the reply. I am just passing this Scam on to you folks so you don't get caught up in this mess! Steve, OCD Restoration
I asked for your zip because I want to use Amazon Payments for completing the sale. They will hold the money until you will receive and inspect the car. Here's how it works:
1. Both parties agree to terms of the transaction, which includes: description and pictures ( showing current condition of the item ), sale price ( $8,500.00 ), number of days for the Buyer's inspection ( 3 days from delivery date ).
2. The Buyer submits payment to Amazon Payments. When payment is received, it will be verified and secured into a non-interest bearing trust account.
3. Upon payment verification, the Seller is authorized to ship merchandise and submit tracking information. The Buyer must pay the shipping fees cash-on-delivery. The Seller is responsible for the return shipping fees if the item is rejected.
4. Amazon Payments® tracks the shipped merchandise and verifies it was delivered: the Amazon Payments® Representative will contact the Buyer 24 Hrs before delivery in order to setup delivery date/time. The inspection period will not begin until the Amazon Payments® Representative has confirmed delivery of the merchandise.
5. Buyer Accepts/Rejects the merchandise: the Buyer has a set number of days (3 days from delivery date) for an inspection and the option to accept or reject the merchandise.
5.a) Buyer Accepts the merchandise, the Amazon Payments® Representative will contact the Buyer when the Inspection Period ends. If the Buyer decides to accept the item The Seller is paid and the title transfer will take place.
5.b) If the Buyer rejects the merchandise, the merchandise/payment* will be returned to the Seller/Buyer
* Buyer will be refunded ( FULL REFUND = $8,500.00+Shipping fees ) using the same method as Buyer paid.
Send me your name, address and shipping address and we can move forward with this deal.

what a cool idea.takes a lot of the risk out of it.

I've had that same line of "protected precedures" used on me as well, but for a different "holding" institution. I knew 100% it was a scam. Was for a 69 Charger R/T for 8K, also, but blue.

Like Brad Pitt said on Inglourious Basterds,

"Long story short, if we hear a story too good to be true – it ain't."
