I'm on the hunt for another 68 Charger R/T. Must have a/c. I'd prefer a done (or reasonably done) clean & honest car.

Bag-o-cash waiting for the right car.

If you dont mind me asking, what is it you do for a living? Because I want to do that too so I can have all the toys.

I take it the pickle sold? You are keeping your 68 aren't you? That is an awesome car imo.

Yes, the pickle is sold & is supposed to be picked up on Wednesday. The 68 Hemi is a keeper.

Wal Mart greeter.

You must have an impeccable demeanor to keep a straight face and not laugh at some of the people that walk through the doors at Walmart ! ! !

No wonder you get paid so much ! ! ! ( smile )

You do know that 68 R/Ts did not have AC as an option? A 383-4V was the biggest AC car. Or were you looking for aftermarket AC?

dont know for sure on your figures on 68 with no ac option but im sure you opened a whole new topic. i would say you mite be incorrect. iv seen a few with this option n build sheets to confirm the ac option.

and these were all 440 cars

Thought you said you were selling the pickle because you were out of room??? LOL!

I was out of room, but I made more.

That is incorrect. Go stand in the corner.

You may be correct, looking at the ordering info now, they may have been available on 440 R/Ts with automatic transmissions. The Ordering Info is less than clear. I could read that as N/A on the R/T or just N/A on the R/T with a 4 speed.

I had an original Calif. car I bought from a neighbor lady in 1974, that was a 68 Charger R/T 440 Magnum w-A/C 727tf auto, buckets/console car "from the factory", matter of fact, I had several of them from 68-70's that were originally equipped with A/C & a 440 Magnum's or Commando's, among many other Mopars/Dodges/Chryslers/Plymouths similarly equipped...

That is not correct, my 68 R/T has factory air and still has it's factory installed 440 (rebuilt).

Yes, it appears I read it wrong and AC was an option on a Charger R/T, but only with an automatic in 1968 that is, 1969 and later or other models I do not know about.

This is also an original automatic transmission car is it not?

So, when are you going to sell it to me?

Naaaaa, I don't think so, I put too much time and money into it and want to drive the wheels off of it..lol.

It was an automatic, but it got boring with the auto, so during my resto, I converted it to a 4 speed.
