Got my wingvents tore apart last night to send away for plating/polishing. I'm wondering is there a preffered, or a stay away from supplier I should know about for the seals? Thanks:icon_thumright:

I see Classic has them for 89 a pair and year one 159 a pair??? Also looking for the washers for the attaching scew at top and channel strip the glass sits in on the bottom. Oh and the rubber piece that's screwed on for the roll up window at the top. Anyone have any comments? Propwash?

I like to go with Dixie Restorations when it comes to anything rubber or weatherstrip related. They acutally pick and choose suppliers based on correctness and quality. All the stuff I got from them was top notch. I didn't have to replace my vent window "triangle" weatherstrip though I was able to clean my old one up and reuse it. For the channel strip and rubber bolt washers use glass setting tape, I actually might have some left over from my build you can have. I'll just have to find it

I'll see if I can get some tape from the local glass store! Thanks!!!!

There are different thicknesses, you'll have to measure the thickness of the glass with the width of the channel and subtract and then divide by two. If I remember correctly it should come out to 3/16"

Great. BTW thanks for your service!!!!

Here's where I bought mine '69. The washers I found at the hardware store, gasket material for inside the vent window channel, I used Loctite 2 sided tape. All work real well. Hope it helps.
