So I am in a bit of a pickle guys.. A little while back, I was searching craigslist and came across a "67' Dart for parts".... It was in the auto parts section.. The guy had it listed locally, less than 2 miles from my house.. He had it listed as incomplete with no motor or trans for 600.00.. I wasn't expecting much, but I contacted him and jumped in the truck to go take a look... I show up and its far from being parts.. It's a complete car, minus original front buckets, fenders and front bumper.. He put fiberglass fenders on it.. Fiberglass front bumper, and buckets out of a stratus.. It has tubular a-arms, front discs, brand new cragers and tires, new 2 1/2'' exhaust with flowmasters. A rechromed rear bumper, 8 3/4, with "Scat pac package.. Heater box rebuilt, gauges rebuilt, new sill plates, carpet, and so on.. This thing is immaculate for the price.. So here is my debate.. I get my 383 back from the machine shop this week.. Do I continue with my plan to big block the 70 Coronet, or leave it a small block and throw the b engine in the dart?? I have everything minus motor mounts for the a body.. And I have everything minus exhaust pipes for the Coronet.. It's a win win situation, I just need help deciding.. Any input would be great.. Here's a few pics of the dart...

I wouldn"t begin to know which one to do first, but i would have that Dart and make my mind up which one i want on the road first up, Its really what you would want best, main thing is get that Dart, your right if its in that shape, win win situation. Good luck!

Thanks Ron.. I bought the Dart already.. Have it down to bare metal now, and putting new quarters on it.. Painting it White with Blue.. The coronet has a 318 2bbl now, but does run and drive.. I do have a 360 out of a van that I can put in one of them.. Just in limbo right now..

if they were mine I would put the 360 in the dart and the 383 in the coronet but that's just me good luck witch ever way you go keep us posted

I agree with the above...The torque off that big block sure would do your heavy Coronet a lot of justice. A 360 with a decent cam, intake and a bit of head work would rocket that Dart down the road like a champ. Just my opinion.

Coronet gets big block and Dart gets a hefty 360. Just my opinion like others have said. Nice situation to be in Win...Win...for sure, 2 Mopars tearing up the streets.

good luck either way you decide, I'd do a BB in both myself, but the A-Body wouldn't be bad with a well built SB either, allot lighter than the 70 coronet is... Decisions Decisions, it's a good quandary to be in, more toys the better...LOL...

Thanks for the input guys.. I think I'm leanin for the small block in the A.. I guess i'll have to make up my mind when the moment comes.. It's too hard.. I love the torque of a big block..

WOW . . . plum70Coronet . . . what a GEM you've stumbled upon . . . wish I had the same difficulties in deciding what to do myself ! ! !

Looks like a great Dart and I'm sure you'll come up with a plan that will work for both of your vehicles ( wish I'd stumble on a car like that too ! )

Good luck with your BUILDS !
