MAN Your so close on finishing it !!! Think I would put that baby to the side for sure !!
I Kind of ran out of money and got discouraged over the bad paint job. I wish I could store it away until my attitude changes, but I have no room for it.

That is a sharp looking car. I know I would have a hard time letting it go. What issues happened with the paint/bodywork that has gotten you so discouraged?

Man I would be Sick if I let her go being so close to done !!
I am No where close to being done like yours and when I went through my Divorce and lost my house af 30 years due to a wife of 5 years not keeping her legs shut ! I hordid my shell away in a shed I rented and all the parts I gatherd .
And 5 years later my Lovely woman who saved my Soul pushed me into starting it . Now you couldnt stop me if you tryed !!
Think it over Brother ! I ASURE YOU For what Cash you get for it now You will NEVER by another later !!
BEEN THERE DONE THAT !!

Boy does that sound familiar….And it's amazing how close are cars are too. My real 70 Super Bee, 383, pistol grip 4 speed, Ramcharger hood, Plum Crazy car has black vinyl top, black interior, and is a coupe. Other than the coupe part, I have bench seat, and my car has the white reverse C stripes. And I built a fairly crazy 440 for mine so I could keep the numbers matching engine safe.

And I got screwed over by a "restoration shop" that was supposed to just finish the body work I had done to my skill level, and paint my car. And they really did a shoddy job, lost some of my parts, and filed bankruptcy when I sued them. Of course, this guy had been playing that game for years. Wish I would have found out sooner. All of their "work" was completed in 2002. I was so frustrated I tried to sell it just as you are. I had shelled out a lot of money for the paint, and was real excited, as I had worked on the metal work like new trunk floor, little bit of quarter panel repair.

But then I got kicked in the teeth just like you. But I had a buddy that would NOT let me sell the car, and he put it in his climate controlled storage barn where he keeps his own 14 muscle cars and Hot Rods. And told me to come get it when I was a through being mad. Took 10 freaking years! I just restarted on the project 2 years ago! My life realigned itself, and I started getting back into cars. And now I am almost done. After almost 14 years! I wish your car was in Colorado, as I know exactly where we could store it. Don't give up!! I love Dusters and Darts, have had several, but come on!! Really want to trade for one? I say get your car running and make it a driver until you are in the right frame of mind, and you have a place to do the work. That way you WOULD have a car to drive. And yes, I understand that frustration very well. I was in the same boat.

If you need parts or just need to vent, let me know. I have collected a pretty good stash of parts. And for somebody that is showing the 1970 Dodge Coronet/Super Bee love I am happy to help. Not too many people love the look of our cars. I especially love mine just BECAUSE not too many others do.

Give it some thought hopefully! It CAN be fixed! :eusa_angel:

Plumbcrazybee, glad your friend wouldn't let you give up and Quicknick you need to give it more thought, you are so close. I would love to have your car, but I already have two. We either love or hate the 70 Bee's and I for one love them. I had one back in the 1970's and have kicked myself ever since for selling it. You will regret it if you sell it, so why not finish it and have fun with it.

Sale pending. I will pull the ad this weekend if the deal goes through.
