I have a pair of rear springs with part numbers, but can't find them in the 69 parts book. The numbers are 2539795 and 2539965. Any ideas?

Those spring numbers generally don't come up in the Chrysler parts book. I have them documented and will update as soon as i can

Standard rear springs for a 383 with an axle package, 440-4bbl, 440-6bbl or 426. They are the unequal leaf spring set up aka "hemi suspension".
Check section 17-11-0. In my book it looks like they are superseded to 2808366 and 2808367

That's exactly what my book says number wise. The springs I have are the 6 and 5 1/2 variety, but the car as best I can tell didn't have an axle package. It's an 8 3/4 with an open 3:23. Didn't super bees come with the heavy duty suspension package as standard? Oh well it's not a numbers car anyway so I'll go with what I've got. Thanks for your input.

No. the 213 matched set was standard. Do you have a fender tag or broadcast sheet that could tell you the original ratio?

Found this over at DC.com just FYI
2539 795 - Left Side Rear Spring w/ S15 ExHD (Hemi) Suspension Package
2539 965 - Right Side Rear Spring w/ S15 ExHD (Hemi) Suspension Package

One of the documents I found says that the parts book part number and the stamped/casting number should read the same, but I don't want to guarantee that's correct. What I'm seeing could be some sort of an assembly number rather than the # physically stamped on the spring. Incidentally, the '70-71 parts book lists a different spring part number - but judging from your description, I think you have a fine set of springs on your car.

Agreed and those are the ones I going back with. Thanks alot for looking up those numbers for me. BTW what is DC.com?
