I came across this car and have no idea what its worth and neither does the current owner. looking for a close to fair price if anyone could help me out. the car is a 1970 superbee 383 4 speed plum crazy purple with a black vinyl top and a bench seat. all the parts are there and numbers matching but the car is a rust bucket. Thanks Mitchell mitch2.jpgmitch10.jpgmitch9.jpgmitch7.jpgmitch6.jpgmitch5.jpgmitch4.jpgmitch3.jpgmitch1.jpgmitch11.jpg

I'm waiting for everyone else. It's all in what you want. If your in love with it and have to have it then who knows what the price might be. The pictures do not do it any justice as far as I have to have it. I am curious as to what every one else thinks.

car is a mess , 1,000 tops

although ive seen much worse sell for a lot more

There is a LOT of 70 only Dodge pieces you will need that cant be bought new. But it is a factory air car with a 4 speed and 383(I'm guessing). +++++ in my book. If numbers all really match then you will be in good shape, providing you can rebuild all of it. Keep us informed.

3 speed wipers, rally dash, plum crazy,if you don't want it, I do!!! Just PM me with an address!

Are the motor and heads rebuildable? Is there a fender tag? I guess a broadcast sheet is a fantasy. Is the frame rebuildable? How many patch panels and replacement fenders and quarter panels are needed? How about the hood, grill, bezels which aren't available, taillight lens, yada yada yada. Unless you can use a ton of those parts then you'll be forever upside down in the car. And that's if you do all your body work, paining and repairs. You'll spend 10-20K on parts at the very least. Unless you want a five year restoration you do yourself finding parts for cheap then you'll have much more in here than she's worth unless you just want a driver for the immediate future.

My advice is to buy a car already restored or partially done enough to justify the rest of the expenses and pick a sought after vehicle like a convertible R/T yeda. I'd even consider a restomod with a 440 6 pack or a modern hemi. It'll be worth more and cost less to build. JMO.

I would say its worth what its worth to you. If you do a complete restoration you will most likely have more in it than you could sell it for. I think most of us put more in our cars than there worth on the open market. If your looking for a long term project offer a $1000, drag it home then you can tear it down and see what your getting into. Depending on cond. the bench seat, hood, and dash could be worth more than $1000. The scrap yard will give you $300-$400 for what's left, (but please don't do that.) Depending on condition I might even go $2000. If your looking to flip a car for profit this is not your car. It would be nice to see someone bring this car back.
