Well I finally made up my mind just purchased 235/60/15r BF Goodrich TA's and a set a of cragar 15x7's w/4.25 back space. Took a lot of time to see What size I could put on my 66 coronet and I think these will fit just fine and look great . Well I will see in a couple of days .

Interested in this as well - going to re-wheel and tire my '67 Coronet - and what you're doing sounds very similar to what I've got in mind for my project!

Im interested to see how they look too...

My coronet came with 235 /60 15 directional KO tires on pacer rims the drivers front rubbed on the trim in the center of the arch and the pass side rear rubbed in the same place... I pulled the diamond out of the sub frame when I welded in the sub frame connectors.... the mag 500 rims I have now have the correct off set and have about a 1/2 inch.... how mutch room do you have with that set up

Thanks guys I'll put pics up as soon as I get them on.Sleepar what year is your coronet?

Well after two weeks I got them on and they fit perfect ! I'll post pics tommorow it's almost dark now. Hope this will others .

Ordered a tool to size wheels and tires to fit your from Jegs this morning.
Should eliminate any question as to how wide I can go.

When I finally settle on them and get them on, I WILL post info and pictures.

How times change - I still have the R/T - it's sitting in the garage getting dusty. I've not put any tires and rims on it as of yet.
I was going to build it up and make it my Saturday night cruiser - but after seeing a '65, I lost interest in the body style of the '67.
I'll probably leave the 14" Magnum 500s on it and replace the old belted tires with some red stripes in a stock size and let it go.

So I found a '65 Coronet 440 that was what looked like a turn key operation - but we all know how those go. It's getting some electrical work done to it now - fixing the stop and tail lights, interior lights and replacing the old 3 gauge panel under the dash with 3 separate gauges mounted in black cups on top of the dash. Have a tach w/ a shift light to add to the dash - to make it that much faster - lol.

I purchased a new set of Cragar GTs for it - 15x8s for the rear - 4.5 backspace and mounted a set of Cooper Cobra 275/60R15 and 15X7s with same tires in a 215/70R15 up front to replace the steelies and the dog dishes. Funny after all of the MOPARs and other cars I've owned, this is the first new set of mags and tires I've ever bought to put on a car. Most of them already had some sort of wheels on it and I kept them.

Hopefully, the '65 will be finished by week's end and be able to cruise around town Friday night in the Route 66 Mother Road Festival coming up this weekend. If not, we'll take up our usual haunt in the lawn chairs along the route and watch the vehicles go by. Last year there was a '67 Hemi Coronet R/T that rolled by us - it was nice!

Do you have pictures of your Coronet with the Cragar GTs on it? I just got two 15x8s and two 15X7s Cragars SS, and I am looking to get 295 or 275/60R15 (rear) and 255 or 235/70R15 (front), for my 73 roadrunner. but I would like to see the stands front and side

This is all I have loaded on my computer currently - I'll take some more shots of it this weekend.

Thank you for the picture, that looks great, I am more worried about the size 275/60R15 (rear) and either 255 or 235/70R15 (front). if you confirm the size you have, I will then order them. Thank you again.

I've got 275/60R15's on the back with 215/70R15's on the front - those were close to the rear tire diameter and about as wide as I wanted to put on front with the manual steering.
