What Did You Car Look Like When You Found It

This is my 70 Roadrunner which will be started on this summer. I bought it in 2012 off of ebay for $2950 + shipping. IMAG0027.jpgIMAG0029.jpgIMAG0030.jpgIMAG0031.jpgIMAG0034.jpg

I have been watching hsorman's build with a high degree of interest and plan to do a thread like you said. He is doing a lot of the stuff I had planned for this one. Right now, the plan is Sassy Grass metallic/black striping, rear spoiler, A/C, Passon 5 speed, 440+6 (or maybe injection), and adding posi to the rear, replacing ALL of the wiring, 4 wheel disc brakes, and replacing the N96 Air Grabber set up. I am just getting back into this hobby after a looooong time away. My last was a 72 Chevelle 396/auto/12 bolt rear. When I am done I hope it will be sweet!!

sounds like a nice plan, but what would you put a GM rear under a mopar?:mek3:

Very nice, ricoman97. How old was the original owner? Must be retired by now...
What engine? Does the A/C work?

Thanks guys. So the owner's dad bought the car in 1968. He has the original window sticker & invoice. A pretty high optioned car as you will see from decode below. I would guess the owner is late 60's. The car is running. With a little work should be able to cruise it. No rust underneath or in trunk. Needs some lower rear quarter work done and knock out some bumps. It is all original, a damn time machine, except he replaced the engine 8 years ago with a 400ci (I am hunting the OG 383 as we speak at a local shop) and he replaced the interior carpet, headliner and recovered the seats. He came to my buddies shop 2 days ago with his wife saying it is time to get rid of it. I went this AM and bought it a few hours later. If I told you the price you would drop on the floor as his engine replacement cost more than I picked it up for. It even has a trailer hitch on it! Has original trunk mat, spare tire, etc. TIME MACHINE! He has two 2" thick folders with ever service and record on the car. It is all there...

Oh, AC not sure if works but everything is hooked up correctly... I will know more next week after I get it.

See below for decode. I will post a picture of invoice and window sticker next week. Window sticker was $4400 invoice sold $3700. The dad talked them down it looks like...
