66-67 charger photos

Tell Martha I said she did a nice job on that one. Most folks never even think about the details, let alone take the time to get them right.

It isn't done but what it will look like with 18x9.5 Cragar SS rims all around with -12 offset or 4.75" of back spacing. 285/35/18 rear and 265/35/18 tires. image.jpgimage.jpg

hi and welcome to the site tell us a little more about your charger and post some more photos of your charger ,and look at all those cars in the air and on the floor :headbang:

snakeyes
Thanks for the welcome. I attached a few more photos of the current state of the car. a little more information on the car. it is a 67 that I purchased 14 years ago. Had a "friend of a friend" perform some work on it shortly after I bought it which was subpar to say the least. I finally decided to send it to a professional restoration shop this year. Car is non numbers matching as I bought it with a 78 400CI block. Decided to go the restomod route as the motor was in bad shape. Planning to install a 6.1 hemi. Plan to change the car to red (PP-1), it was black right before and yellow originally. Will restore exterior, interior to original look with new hemi, modern transmission, modern disc brakes (have to be able to stop it) and probably newer/modern AC.

That my friend is and awesome picture! A little more info on the car please.

I inherited this car from my Dad twenty years ago.

When I got it it had a tired 440 in it. I was convinced it was a 13 second car but when I finally made it to the track it ran mid 16's.

I'm not sure what happened on the drive from the farm to the drag strip but bit sure slowed down.

Currently it has a all aluminum 572" Indy motor in it, 572-13 heads and it makes about 800 hp.

The car has a cage in it. Is mini tubbed with ladder bars. A Moser 9" with wilwoods in the back.

Front end is mostly stock. K-member is sectioned for oil pan clearance and the lower control arms are boxed.

It has 11.75" brakes with wilwood callipers in the front.

It runs around 10.30 @ 130mph with a best of 10.05 @ 133 mph.

Last year I reinstalled the interior. So this this a pretty heavy beast.

I have a new LSM cam for it so hopefully some high nines this year.

If I can get it lined up I will stick a fogger on it and shoot for some low nines.

Thanks Sask! Very impressive. What is race weight?

I am not exactly sure. It was 3400#. With out the interior in it. With the interior back in. I am guessing it is 3700#

Wow... thats heavier than I would expect. I was thinking more like 3500 bone stock from the factory. Then again, if you consider the weight of the driver, your probably back to 3700 again. :eusa_think:

It's been a long time since I rolled my car across a scale but 3850 sticks in my mind. That was with me in it.

Why am I suddenly reminded of a character (FB) from an Austin Powers movie?:rolling:

I'm not quite as big as FB.

Mine was 3850# bone stock with all iron 440 motor.

Wow... I'm gonna have to start manufacturing some parts out of Upsidaisium to lighten things up a bit.
