Looking for a near perfect 69 Coronet tail finish panel. I have a decent one which has a little paint peeling from it, but no scratches or dings. I even have a second one which also has no significant dents, dings or scratches but has a lot more paint flaking off.

I'd like to trade both of mine for a near perfect or restored one. OORRRRR,,,, does anyone know
who might restore them?

Looks like you did a fantastic job on it!! Any words of wisdom on how you did it? I've got one myself that needs restored that sounds like it's in the same shape as yours when you started.

Patients and a glass of wine or a beer.
1) I scrubbed it with dish soap (oil and grease cutter) a soft bristle brush first
2) Dried thoroughly
3) I polished the aluminum with my Dremel first.
4)Here's were the wine comes in.... taping it up. Fresh razor blades and autobody grade masking tape. NOT your homeowners type ivory colored masking, as paint seeps beneath it because the glue backing is sporatic and thin on it. Use Yellow or Blue - not ivory masking tape

I'm no expert. This is the second tail panel I've ever done. The first one was with regular masking tape, hence the education on the type of tape. This one turned out darn near like a professional job though, with the exception of minor scratches in the unfinshed polished aluminum which I couldn't manage to remove.. I'm pleased with it.
It was a nice sunny Easter Sunday. I used my shed which was 80-90 degrees to paint in. No wind, no dust and nice and warm to bake it. I also used Rustoleum FLAT paint after trying the Satin and Semi gloss to match it up. Flat is dead on. It took a total of 2 -2.5 hrs (refilled the wine glass 2x).

and I meant PATIENCE..... or you will become a patient.

Mitch - I think I can just paint the heads where they sit.
