That one black Charger (white interior, hood sitting cock-eyed and with the orange/red stripe running the length of the car) sure brings back memories. In 1978 during my last year in high school, I was working at a Chevy dealer in Baltimore part time, prepping new trucks for delivery. We were affectionally known as 'Lot Rats' back then. :) Somebody traded in a 1974 Charger for a new truck and I was able to buy it (my 2nd Mopar) before it was offered for sale up in the dealership's used car lot.

It was a very clean 318 automatic car, with AC and an AM/FM 8 track player. The paint was called 'Dark Moonstone Poly' if my memory is correct, which was sort of a dark copper color. And the reddish-orange stripe on mine couldn't be missed when a pair of headlights caught it at night. It had an off-white vinyl roof and matching off-white cloth interior with tan carpet. Being 18 at the time, I've got some VERY fond memories of just how nice the back seat was on that car........ :)

A little elbow grease and buffing and that challenger will be as good as new again!!

The first gen Charger looks like someone jumped it into the ocean. Amazed the glass is all still in it!

Sounds like a sweet ride Sixpacksteve. It was a shame to see how little was left of that Challenger Moparsteve636, but hopefully her parts went to a good home and helped some other Challengers have some new life. ODZKing, those are indeed taken in NY. I hesitate to say where until I get through picking all that I need from there. If anybody sees anything that could be of use to them, just let me know and I'd be happy to pick it for them on my next trip. I like to barter, so if you have anything I need and would like to trade, that would be great. He's pretty reasonable, but doesn't have a set price list. He just throws a number out there when it comes time to pay.

Coledavis01, I didn't look that one over too good, I was kind of in awe trying to find as many Mopars as I could in the short time I was able to, but that was about all that was left of the old girl. Most of these gems had settled pretty deep into the earth and moisture has been eating them from the ground up. I found three Cordoba/Charger SE's and all of them had the leaf springs through the trunk.

Are you selling these cars/parts?

I see a couple of things off one of those cars I would like to have.
