Does anyone know where I could obtain replacement U nuts for the 4 fender studs that attach down by the rocker panels? I purchased the fender bolt kit from US CarTool but the U nuts they sent for the studs are not even close to the correct size. The ones I need about about 1" square while the US CarTool U nuts are 1/2" wide and about 1" long.

This is a for a 1966 Coronet 500

Thanks!

P.S. I think I found the correct U nut at mrgusa.com it is a FA 697 U nut.

I was also amazed at the automotive selection at Lowes this past week.
I did see those as well.
And I assume mean like this.

Our local NAPA store has a book with actual samples blister packed on each page, quite a few fasteners that we use. The sample shows the part number and then they get the part off the shelf.......................................MO

Plce Ace Hardware has an automotive section that has those. At least the one here in my hometown does...

I used mega parts and had to split the difference somewhere between the Battery tray and the hood hinges because the repops aren't as fat round or as stout as originals
