Have been on here looking for parts for the car but havent started a thread for its progress. So here it is. I was coming back thru Texas a few months ago and found this beauty :)

Car looks nasty in pics but is just surface rust (have dealt with worse) and surfaces arent too damaged. Missing engine and trans but was big block/AT. Im really excited about starting on this one, I've always wanted one as my first rememberance of mopars was of a 62 fury. I think I got pretty lucky finding this one. Has no cancer or rot through anywhere and is so straight. Should be an easy body job. Luckily also it came with most of its hard to find items like, buckets, console and most of trim. Have been lucky also since picked up a few months ago to amass most of the other missing parts as well or get good leads on rest of missing items for when I save up the $$$ for them :)

Floors, Rails and Trunk on this car are soooo amazing. Have been sorting through whats parts have and dont have now and realize not missing too many more pieces. I want to thank all the members who have contacted me, sold me parts and/or pointed me in right direction on finding them. I think I have located most missing parts now and when I build up some more $$$ can get :)

Story I have gotten on car is that it was a racer from back in the day but havent been able to track anything down on it. Has couple telltail signs of racing past but hasnt been butchered at all.

Will update this thread when get more done :) Thanks for looking. 62 Sport Fury.jpg62 Sport Fury 2.jpg62 SP Floor 2.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Sweet, keep us posted on your progress. ;)

Cool car - she'll be a beaut when you get her finished!

Looks like a great car to work with. Good luck , Ron

Killer Texas patina. My red '66 looked a bit like that back in the day. It came out of Sachse, TX. I really like that body style good luck with the car.

I love those 62s keep us posted on your progress

I wondered who bought that car. I was pretty close to pulling the trigger on it but I lost my storage space

I hope that little yellow car you're using as a wheel chock in front of the left front tire is a Camaro??

UPDATE- Went over the car and parts inventory to see what was missing again and looking closer for any rust issues. Found a patch of rust under trunk lid in a weird spot but it seems mice had built a nest between panels and rotted a small section. Well found a perfect replacement lid and it's on the way. As well as a couple other small pieces of sheet metal I realized were missing. Didn't need one but also found a nice hood locally for $50 so had to pick it up. Will probably save original to car and mount max wedge scoop on this new one.

Ran across a guy that said he had stripped a sport fury years ago and had a lot of parts in storage to my fingers are crossed as I am going out there tomorrow to see what he has and try to buy the lot. Says has a lot of sport fury exterior trim, emblems and even interior parts. He named almost every part I'm looking for:)
Fingers crossed.

Ummmmm.... It's a challenger lol, car kept rolling so grabbed closest thing and it happened to be that. If it's any consolation it's a cheap Chinese knockoff toy that looks more like a camaro than challenger ;)
