Year One - 10+ weeks for delivery of wiring harness...

This time of year is a crappy time to try and get parts any where it seems.

Hopefully my harness I just ordered doesnt end up a nightmare... I ordered the foreward light harness for my Sattelite... Yearone has it out of stock, and I guess now i'm playing the waiting game too...

did you try calling M&H directly? Even if you called to check lead time, you might find out what the deal is or if it's Year One that is being difficult... If Year One is not paying their bills on time, they may be on credit hold with M&H and seeing their orders stop... you never know.

If M&H can sell direct at close to the Year One price and promise a shorter lead time, you might get better customer service.

afaik M&H made a "deal" /agreement with Y O.... Y O payed for the equipment....and therefore they now have the rights to sell the stuff exclusivly... If you go on the HP of M+H you will see, that you can´t order directly from them....

Then how is Classic selling M&H labelled harnesses as some members have reported????

I would guess because they purchase the harnesses directly from year one and then mark it up a bit when the sell it.

Actually, I just ordered some wiring from Classic and it is made by M & H and is CHEAPER than Year One!

WHAT!!!
You mean to tell me I'm not the only one who doesn't know what the hell I'm talking about.

Lol, sorry...one of my moments.

Lucky for you that they are on sale. And had what you need in stock.

No, the price in the catalog is cheaper than the price on line for Year One. Think the price difference was something like $5 but that was also for a tach harness for the dash to replace one that was cut on the insulation.

Ask for your shipping costs back, they gave me free shipping when some items were on backorder.

What harness is backordered? Sounds like main dash harness?

A friend just got engine compartment and front end harness for his '68 A-Body with no problems.
He re-wired the inside of the car with a modern type fuse panel. The car is more is a restomod, so originality is not a big deal in his case.

Im waiting on a front light harness for 70 roadrunner.

Now its 12 weeks and nothing.

Unfortunately it looks like Classic Industries is out of stock of many of the harnesses as well (at least the ones I need).

X2.... I figured they sourced them from Y1, but at least they don't ding ya for the $$ until it ships.

Thought I would give everyone a little update. I emailed asking for a delivery estimate on the foreward light harness for my '73 Sattelite. They responded with "8-9 weeks"

We just got our new back up harness from them. When I called the beginning of Apr. they said it was back ordered till May 1st. Just called them last week and it was in stock while Classic said it was back ordered for another 3-4 mos. We had it within 2 days from Year One and a cheaper price too.

..and I was just getting ready to order an engine harness for my 65 Belvedere wagon from Year One....what should I do now?? The current harness has so many splices and bad places in it I need probably need a fire truck to follow me down the road!

Look up Mr Heaterbox on the web
The restored all of my original harnesses and everything worked out great

I ordered a fuel pump from them, took four weeks BUT they charged my credit card the day I placed the order. All the other places charged my credit card the day they shipped.

I ordered all my harnesses for my 69 superbee from Year One and got all of them but the front light harness in a few days. Seems like that particular harness is the problem. Its been about six weeks now.
