How does an idea like that even get into someone's head? It would never occur to me to mate a late 70s Firebird nose onto, well...anything really. But a 60s Dart!? That's just weird.

That's what the car hobby is all about. People are too crazy about the restoration these days. We have no clue about what they started with and this creative mechanic / artist had some fun. This could have been built out of a big pile of crap. It's all good, have fun and if it feels good do it.
 
I'm gonna call 'em tomorrow and tell them how fu**ed up that is.

Okay, you don't have to be a 100 point resto stickler to see that the red Dart is tacky as Hell. If the bad flame job and ill-fitting wheels weren't enough to sway you, how bout the targa top, weird hood scoop and late model deck lid spoiler? It may have been built out of two piles of crap, so now he's got one pile of ugly for sale. I'm all for "build your junk the way you want to" and be creative and have fun. Think outside the box, dare to be different, all that IS good. But those things are not mutually exclusive to having taste and showing some restraint. That's just my own opinion, others' will surely vary.
 
there are a few "strange" creations running around my area ....but man thats just wrong

Now you know that the person who built it is proud as hell about his creation! (probably has a Yugo engine in it too!)
