I had used Stockton wheel co. In the past...believe they are no longer in business. Who else do folks suggest?

Thanks

Another source for widening: kosmanspecialties.com in Windsor, CA (40 miles North of San Francisco). They too have been around for decades modifying wheels.

I'd heard awhile back that Stockton Wheel was out of business too. But I was on thier website just a week or so ago so apparently the rumors of thier death have been greatly exaggerated.

I had some steelies widened by Paulsen Wheels in French Camp CA and the price was darn near half what Stockton wanted. The quality was good too. I think I paid $70.00 ea and that included black power bake finish. Paulsen has been doing wheels for years for all the dirt track guys in the area so they know wheels!

stockton is still around, got some rally wheels a few months ago...

there was a company right in Cleveland ,will have to dig around for name :eusa_think:

at one time they where very big and into racing worth a call not sure if there still around will keep looking

They did my 1970 Superbee "REAR" wheels.

Frank the owner commited suicide I think.

Sadly, he will be missed.
I think itr was in 2011.

BUT: I think they are back in business.

there also was a company I believe in Berea Ohio called Gado`s or something similar ,have you found a machine shop that has a large enough lathe to cut the wheel they can true and weld it also just a thought
what wheel are you wanting wider there is also Coker give corky a call

I use True Design in Denver, Co. I send Jim the centers and he will build anything you require to fit your car with new outer rims, reversed old school or stock. I had him make me 2 15" x 8" with 1964 b body centers and 2 15x8 with 68 b body centers ( thesr I still have and never used. The 64 center wheels I had on my 64 max wedge Ply painted the same as the car and looked great. Chuck

Speedway used to sell the rim shells but then they vanished from their catalog. I haven't checked recently to see if they are back but my guess is rim shells were pulled for DOT safety reasons. Meaning you may not want everyone welding rims together!

Thanks all for the wide selection of choices! Good to know Stockton is still out there too. I'll do some homework and see what is easiest/most affordable. I don't currently have donor rims to provide so that will narrow choices too.

Thanks again.

BTW Mt Mopar, to answer your question, I'm going to have rear wheels widened for my GTX and poverty caps combo.

Anyone doing them in chrome?

I've got a set of Spyders I'd love to have re-hooped to 15x7.

Hey Rippin, I had my cop car wheels widened to 8 inches by Weldcraft in Livonia, MI. Not sure where you are in Ohio, but Weldcraft is just 40 miles or so north of the Ohio border and they did a fine, fine job; mine run true with no problems. I also went with the body color wheels and polished poverty caps.
