Listing this for my buddy, all original 1974 Charger Rallye. Real U-code car with original 440 and 727 trans. No body work has been done to the car and still wears its original paint and stripes. Odometer says 72k miles. Rare car, believe only 208 440 chargers in 74. PM if interested and I can send additional photos. Car is located in Pittsburgh, PA. Asking $18,000.

If I had 18 large lying around I would snatch that up in a heartbeat.....but I dont! Good luck with the sale.

I have a 73 340 rallye on here that I have been trying to sell since last November. I am finding out that it is easier/better to sell to a non-mopar person. A car show is your best bet. They all say "cool car,but no money".

Yea you might be right, I've posted 6 cars on here and havent had much luck.

How do you know the paint is origional and not a respray? Thanks.

Because the car is in front of my face its pretty clear. There are some chips in the paint, not seeing any evidence there, same with door jams, engine compartment, etc. The paint was really dull until we used some magic on it. Pretty sure all the striping is original as well.

I just gotta comment on that top.

I've never seen a full (non-halo) vinyl top on a non-SE car.

Is your comment specific to 74 YY1?

Here's a 72 Rallye and I'm fairly sure it's not an SE. Obviously vynil top removed but it had the full one (I didn't like the full top actually but Dad did)

Yes I was talking about 73/74.

Full vinyl on 71/72 is fairly common.

My '74 non-SE has a full vinyl top that it was built with.

That's a beautiful car. If I had the space and the cash I'd be on it. Good luck with the sale.

intrested in the rallye

But yours has the "spring special" roof, which is just as odd, but I've actually seen more of those.

For the record I was asking if the roof in the OP is original to the car.

I've actually NEVER seen a full, non halo, non SE, non spring special roof on a 73/74

I have one that I just picked up a few months ago.

hmmmm ... perhaps I didn't have a clear understanding of the halo top. Seems I have this and not a 'full'

first off, the car sold finally! Did some research on the tag and car and found out the top was added by a dealer, the same time they added hideous opera windows!! So YY1 is probably correct saying that hes never seen one with a full vinyl top. Halo looks much netter in my opinion.

Congrats on the sale. Always loved the stripe on those Chargers...not much else.
