Hyrdgoon's - project angrybird

Mike - way to go eh ! That bird looks and sounds fantastic.

Thanks for the info you sent me recently about the engine noise. By the end of the summer I should have mine installed and running. Last weekend I pulled out the A/C unit and the "spliced to ****" harness so the car interior is ready to be prepped, painted and new wiring. Still a lot to do....

Regards, Patrick

big props to your car and hockey team! go storm! I actually got to see them play back in november!

I have to ask, its so sweet looking more pictures and video would be sooo cool man, SHOW off that beauty! I figure it never hurts to ask and if that was mine i would have a stack of pictures and ill wager you have some more that us Mopar crazy's would relish to see :)

Thanks Dan! And ya they are having a great year.. I'm originally from Sudbury though so I guess technically I "should" be a wolves fan lol

Sweet ride man, real clean too!

Thankyou kindly!

Thanks Ron, it means a lot that you would like to see more of my car! Here's one I snapped in the gym parking lot last weekend and there will be plenty more to come. I'm currently out of the country for work so definitely missing my car in prime driving season!! People are laughing at me because I'm working in an island paradise and bitching because I want to go home to my car! lol

I'll also have a lot more pics coming from during the project. The guy who did the work is putting everything on a USB key for me that he took so I can share with you guys!

As you saw in my video and can see in some of my pics I went for the Amber highbeam look by spraying the highbeams with Krylon stained glass yellow! Looks great on a couple other guys cars (particularly the blue Mopars like djais) but it's just not growing on me for mine.... For some reason I find it makes the front of my car look..... cheap???? I think I'm gonna swap them out this week. Any thoughts guys? what do you think? They don't even help "FER RACIN'!!!"

I had the ambers on a few muscle cars in the 70's and 80's then kinda grew out of them, but I have been kicking around the idea of putting them back on my GTX again (but probably won't). They do look kinda cool but somehow take away from a beautiful car like yours, just my opinion.

That video is great goony car turned out great just doing some catching up on finished thread been busy working on mine. Its coming along good.i just love the sound off the mopar muscic

Buddy, i cant say i like them on a model you have and although i do like them on some cars, its not to say yours wouldn't, shouldn't look cool, its your ride my friend and if you aint happy, it will not work! Go with what you want... THAT is my HO..

That is one sweet sounding 522. I had the vid running in my Woodshop and my Catahoula jumped up and ran for the road!

I kinda like the amber headlight accent, a subtle nod to the past. I really am thinking of trying it myself.

I'm willing to bet you would feel the same about them on your GTX as I do on my RR... Just something not right about it... I think it's mostly colour... I think on a blue car or a black car it really sets it off

Thanks Steven! and glad to hear you're making some progress! Look forward to your updates as you get them up!

No worries Ron and I think I agree.... some cars it looks really good on but mine just isn't pulling it off the way I anticipated! I don't think it looks terrible just not as "clean" as I like! Looking like my decision is made!

LMAO Boise! I love that the Angry Bird set the catahoula running off hahahah!! Thanks man! And I would be interested to see the look on your car... the darker contrast may work better! (p.s. I had never seen a Catahoula before! Nice looking K9!)

PLEASE don't go by the way i think!, If you like it, enjoy it, you can always change it later just don't let anyone make that decision for you...

hahah Don't worry Ron! I value your opinion but if you look at even the way I wrote the first post (not clean) you can tell something about it just doesn't sit with me... It's a cool look just not on my car! At least that's what I have come up with.

And of course that's why I ask for opinions! I do value everyone's on here and appreciate anyone that comments on this thread :)

;) I know man, i just get ancy when "some" think this is how we should do things, how they think they were, are and then i get ticked some lol, i did understood what you were saying at the start, cant stand those who have there own version of what we should have and then what to do with them, if you haven't encountered such, smile, if you have you already understand what i mean lol... :) :)

I'm to young to ever remember any amber light fad so my opinion on the headlights is out of pure functionality, to me painting or shading lights serves no purpose and if anything lessons the output so I say go back. On the looks side of it I don't think it looks bad but also don't think it adds to it either especially "FER RACIN". Now if you really wanted it to be "FER RACIN" you could get a duel snorkel air filter and turn them into fresh air ducts haha, just kidding you need your lights. I'm with Ron on the pics "keep them coming cause that's a sweet bird you got there". Does that color change that much in the light, that pic outside the Gym is a real eye burner?

Ya that's the other end of it.... I just spent all this money on wiring and added relays converted to Halogen etc.... why would I impede my nighttime drivability with the tinted lenses is beyond me... I guess I just liked how it looked on a few cars I saw and figured have a go at it... It wasn't a big expense and who knows maybe someone else will want em when I take em out!

As far as that pic goes No the sun doesn't change colour that much I just chose a different filter on my Camera phone when I took the pic and played with some editing features on the phone after. I find it almost came out like a copper finish in that pic. I just thought it was a neat pic the way the rims gleam in the sun! Here's the same pic with a different filter
