I'm a little confused;
Where does the "Orange" Electronic Ignition module go on a 1970 B-body firewall?
Or, if the Firewall is "to-busy" as mine is, does it get mounted at "Best Operable Position"?

Thanks...
PICS included....

Since it didn't have one originally it doesn't matter where you mount it really. I have seen guys put it under the battery tray to hide it. Mine (on my 67) I mounted about where you have the coil. Minimal wire to run and I already had wires going there for the horns.WP_20140529_004.jpg

Thanks ODZKing!
Sounds like a good spot....
Okay, I'm getting the idea now..."Best Operable Position"
Thanks...

Had one put in 69 two weeks ago and man what big improvement. :) I had the box put on firewall and it looks nice.

where ever you decide to put it, make sure you have metal on metal contact , as the case is its ground

im sure you know but , just thought id throw that out there lol

Thanks for the info "guys"
OZDKing...great website for this conversion.
Thank you!

I like to slot the bottom hole on the ignition box and use the heater box studs that protrude thru the firewall. That way way are not cutting any holes in your car. It fits perfectly.

under the battery tray is also an option

I have also seen it installed in the "hidden" spot under the battery tray.
Not a great spot if your battery starts leaking acid but then you have bigger problems anyway.

Thanks guys...

Being a AC car the Firewall is "BUSY"

Lets take a look at the pics here:
Will it fit ?

I DONT THINK IT WILL FIT ON FIREWALL FROM THE PICS AS YOU CAN SEE

Oh yeah, and it gets busier. Here is my 73 and it's placement.
I still think near your coil is the best. Just my 2 cents.

Looks GREAT ODZ!

In my pics, there is no room above the blower Fan motor

I think you are correct.....
Where my coil is, front left passenger side under washer bottle.
This weekend it will be mounted.
