Battery Tray Color

In my 68 GTX the color of the tray was the same color of the body.

Ive seen this discussed before. If i remember correctly, there is no right answer. Depending on where and when it was made, the tray could be black or body color. Id have to dig around and find the thread, but i think that was the consensus.

Body color... they rusted out quickly and some cars got it replaced with a black one early in their life probably at a dealer and people assume it came from Detroit that way...

My 67 Coronet was all body color, bolts included. It had never been off...so it was born that way.
