66four40,
those pics with the cheater slicks are the correct caps for a 1966 Plymouth cheap car. You can also use 65 caps but the were painted silver instead of black. They are for 14 inch car wheels or will fit early 15 inch truck wheels. A trick I learned from a buddy of mine is to use cop car hub caps and gorrilla glue them to the inside of the 65-66 hub caps for use on 15 inch wheels. He has track tested them to about 115mph. No problems.

Thanks Ron73. I am trying to get this thing on the road. Soon

Jamey. I bought some cheap junk off the internet and had to do some heavy modifications to them to get them to fit. It was all I could find. Look for a doner car. That would be best.

I wish i could say the same, i just cant see that far ahead... You'll get it and someday you'll be drivin down the road and no time for typing on a beautiful night, Great ride, enjoy the fun of the build! :)

Ah, got it. They do look like they would fit over my dog dish's. I have 15" rims with large bolt pattern. I will put this caps on my wish list. Thanks for getting back to me and love the updates on the '66 post!

rearend

Got all the rearend stuff cleaned and painted this weekend. Ready to go back under the car after I get the bottom of the floor pan painted. In case some of you are wondering about the disc brake setup. The caliper bracket, rotor and rotor hat are from Speedway motors (inexpensive) and the calipers are metric gm :)angryfire:). Its a pretty easy project. You will need to cut the axle flange diameter down to fit inside the rotor hat but thats all for the weird stuff. After doing it I dont really think its much of an upgrade. Good working drum stuff is O.K.rear 1.jpgrear 2.jpgrear 3.jpg

Sounds like a pain in the back side! It all looks great and hopefully this set up will benefit the car and make it worth all you did have to do! Looks really good...

can u post the link to those barkes and bracket I like your idea is there any welding involved?

floor pan repair

After cleaning off the undercoating to weld in the floor pans I just could not get the new undercoating to blend right. So I went back and sprayed it on a little thicker and dabbed it with 36 grit sandpaper. Looks a lot better.wheel well.jpg

It does look good from the picture, i don't really know just how thick its supposed to be put on, im sure some that has already done this could give you some advice.. Looks real good to be honest though!

fuel pump bracket

I am going to run a different tank then stock and also a big fuel pump. This is what I came up with for the best place to mount an electric fuel pump. Just a piece of scrap 14 gauge metal.fuel bracket 4.jpgfuel bracket 2.jpgfuel bracket.jpgfuel bracket 3.jpg

Really nice and complete work there. I am finishing up a 66 Plymouth Satellite myself but have always had a soft spot for the 2 door post cars. Yours is going to be awesome. Just a quick question...Was there a reason for going to the standard 8 3/4 verses going with the stronger Dana 60? With that "Elephant" up front spinning outrages torque I would think going with the latter would have been a better choice. Albeit...the 8 3/4 is tough in its own right...cr8crshr/Tuck

Cool bracket, Very nice work!

Hey cr8crhsr, I already had the 8 3/4. It was in my Satellite when I had the Hemi in it. Never had any problems but is was an automatic car. I plan on being a lot rougher on this one so a Dana 60 is probably in the near future. We'll see.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments.

Still looking good. This should be one heck of a tire fryer when done...
