Hyrdgoon's - project angrybird

HYRDGOON; So my Mity Mount shipped on the 12th and it's finally in Canada held for further customs clearance.... and my Cal Tracs UPS notice was on the door today which got me excited UNTIL I saw what I owed for the Brokerage fees.... when I ordered the Cal Tracs shipping costs were $47USD shich I thought extremely fair and happy to pay... then I get the delivery notice saying leave a cheque for $129!! That's 30% of the cost of the item itself!!! WTF!!![/QUOTE said:
And that's why I never, ever ever use UPS to ship across the border into Canada. The same thing's happened to me in the past. People who won't ship with USPS to me (even if it costs me more) don't make a sale with me.

She sounds hot!

LOL!

**Looks over shoulder** I certainly hope not! Although I did see the big black trainer at the gym taking pics of the car the day before... think it was him??

LOL I knew it was you Devin!!! And I'll give you whatever info I find useful about the torque strap for sure!

Lol because she likes Mopars?? hahaha

It's unbelievable how you Canadian brothers to the north get such the shaft with shipping across a boarder. Mexico can shovel illegal people and drugs over our border all day long without an issue, but a Canadian orders a couple parts it becomes a hike up the Himalaya's and an instant $$$ racket. Sick!

I hadn't really dealt with UPS yet that I could think of. My mechanic offered up his broker again and I should have used it but figured it would be insignificant savings on a $400 piece.... GUESS NOT!!

LOL!

We're missing out on a huge market here as the demand is completely there. We need a Canadian Summit/Jegs or something of the sort badly!

Update CalTracs got delivered yesterday after UPS raped and pillaged my chequebook and it looks like the Mount is "Out for Delivery" so hopefully the latest tomorrow. Haven't heard about the torque strap but I'm assuming it's delivered to the shop and waiting for me as it wasn't coming from far away

YAY Parts!! Torque strap is in the shop now too. Just need to get the work done!

Thanks to Dan from Mity Mounts for sending replacements for both PS & DS even though I told him DS is the one that broke (nice to have a spare)

There is a parts warehouse in Regina,US based no brokerage fees ,just the usual provincial taxes and a small shipping fee. Contact Bruce for muscle car related parts.Purchased a brand new Moser 60 to my door for 3k. Prices compare to Summit or Jegs when you convert the dollar.

Thanks MT! I've read nothing but good reviews. I have soft springs and was getting some wheel hop when I leave hard.... I like the ride height and didn't want to get another set of springs and have to think about lowering blocks to achieve the height again and playing around so I figure the Cal Tracs were a nice trade off!

Couple pics from our weekly Tuesday cruise night... I did take pics of the other Mopars but each one of them came out crappy with the sun! I'll grab more next week but here's mine, a buddies GTO and a nice shoebox that caught my eye!

nice bird ,and that GTO reminds me of a good friends looks just like his a twin :headbang:

Ah, the ever popular A&W car show. :) Nice pictures, HYRDGOON. Sometimes it pays to walk further away from the car and use zoom, you'll see less of your own shadow in the frame that way.

Some nice cars in Ontario.

The best thing about the GTO owner is he is historically not a Mopar guy whatsoever but my car has him reevaluating his likes! One of the best compliments in his words "I typically don't spend much time around Mopars but your sound is the nicest I've heard in a long time and I had to look closer" Gotta bring another one to the dark side! lol

You don't like my shadow?? I think it's a particularly handsome shadow... note the strong jawline and silhouette around the eyes... hahaha Jokes!!

Sound advice on taking it further away! I didn't think much of it I just snapped a couple quick before I was taking off! SO many gorgeous cars around here and there is literally 1-3 cruise nights every night of the week within a 40 minute drive of my house!

Hey Mike, were going to have to get to the Orangeville cruise sometime this summer.Show in Tottenham on Sunday, draws over 300 cars, held at the conservation, try to make it out.

Very nice Goon, Your RR sure looks good in those pics.
