Where does everybody mount their electric fuel pumps on their 71-74's? I'm trying to find the best spot for my holley blue. I am using the factory tank, not a fuel cell.

Also I was wondering on my 440 when I took my mechanical fuel pump off, I was wondering if I have to take the rod out of the block that's under the mechanical pump?

Thanks everybody!

You can mount it next to the tank or up inside the hump for the rear diff would be a good place. You can leave it in or just remove the plug and take it out, either way. You can mount it to the frame rail it might stick down a bit so people will know you have it

leave the rod in the block. I mounted my pump ahead of the tank to the outside of the rear frame, ahead of the passenger side rear wheel. The ideal place would be below and behind the tank (primes easier that way) but I never had any issues with mine. (On a 74 Road Runner)

Use dampening material to absorb noise. Mine is one the frame behind the right rear whee, 69 Coronet. image.jpg As shown replacing it on the road. The first time. Carry a spare.
