Just got done with my first project , a 67 belvedere. Just wanted to say thanks for all the help Ive gotten from this site. Ive asked a few questions and got a lot of help. But I have one last problem. I put my gauge cluster back in my car and the gas gauge does not work. I have a new sending unit , the back of the gauge cluster looked good before I put it back together. Could it be a ground? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Good article. Thanks for posting it. The first thing to check is that you put the fuel sender ground strap back on between the sender hose barb and the fuel line. Some times you have to pinch the ends together so that they 'snap' over the line and are secure. Good luck.

Go to the Gas tank, disconnect the sender wire....with Ignition Key in the on postion.....Grounding the wire to the gauge will make it read full. This means good gauge & bad sender at tank or bad ground at tank connection......
