I am trying to install a hurst promatic 2 im trying to mount it inside the console to givet the stock appearance. Im doing all the test fitting in my parts car. So far i have removed the floor brackets and mounted the shifter. The linkge in the console is only six or seven inches long so I see no need to use a five foot cable when a short bar should work as well. I made an adjustable linkage and attemped an install. My problem is as follows. If i adjust it so all the detents line up properly it wont shift into park all the way. If i adjust it so it goes into park properly i lose the rest of the detents to operate properly. Is there adfitional adjustment under the car? I am doing this on a parts car thats really hard to get under and was hoping to find a solution without having to lay in the massive puddle of trans fluid under this mess of a car.

Im also gonna put a few more holes in the linkage lever to change the radius that the new likage travels. It looks to me that it may help a bit but Im probably gonna be in trial and error mode for some time.

Thats what I was thinking assuming that you're referring to the lever that sits atop the rod thats inside the console. I'm putting a few extra holes in it to find the right place to make it all work. Thanks.

BTW. nice fury
