I am thinking of coming over for a show next summer. My hope is to source a driving '68 Charger.

So if you had to attend only one show, which one would it be?

Either Chrysler at carlisle or the mopar nationals. I work with a guy who used to go to the nationals every year and he stopped because of the way the event is organized/run. I have never been so maybe someone else can add their 2 cents. Mopars at the strip in vegas. Always wanted to hit that show. You go to that show you may never leave

My vote is carlisle. Ive never been to another of the big shows, but I've been to MANY carlisle shows, all the way back to the early 1980's and it is well worth the time - the shows are HUGE and very very professionally done. In addition, the town of Carlisle is full of gracious people that all make money from the Carlisle shows, so they are very very helpful and kind to visitors. And besides, where else are you going to see 1000's of mopars all week everywhere you go? Gas station, diner, motel, EVERYWHERE!! Like a dream.

I have been to the Nats in Columbus several times. But I have been to Carlisle many, many times. There is really no comparison. Hands down , Carlisle is bigger, better, more organized, and for me, closer. They do have a drag strip at the Nats, but also at Carlisle, off site. I'll take Carlisle every time!!

Carlisle. Huge swap meet, lots of vendors, large car turn out, lots of people to meet, numerous celebrities in the hobby show up, great facility, well run show.

I like Carlisle because I get to see many friends i have gained over the years, the locals are really good to the show. I try to make the trip at the end of a work week, traveling their on my home route. I just never like the hot weather we get their. Lot's of vendors and used parts for sale. I try to get the best deal and usually sell a few old hemi parts and buy things I need. Next year I am going to Mopar Nat's since that would be a first for me.

Seems like Carlisle is the one. It would be great to meet up with fellow forum members too. So I am going to see what I can organize my side to make this happen.

Spring Fling Los Angeles if you can make it in April. Tie it with track day at Willow Springs. Then MATS Vegas if it is the week following. HSJNDriveIn2014 078.jpg

I've done The Flings, MATS, Indy. St. Louis, The Nats and Carlisle. I'd drive the 2000 to Carlisle. It's bigger and better than all the others combined.

Really? Damn. I guess I dont know how good I have it being that its so close to me. ive never been to a national/ international show like that so i have no frame of reference.

I have been to the Nats and Carlisle and I will say Carlisle is cleaner and more organized. Carlisle is a great show. The Nats was cool and had drag racing right there at the show and alot of cruisin around the town. Both are nice but if I had to pick one it would be Carlisle. Ron

I have been to both and the Mopar Nats is my pick I have gone every year since 1992 and love it

The one downfall to Carlisle and the Nats is that its always so hot at both shows. Why cant they change our Mopar shows to cooler months like September or April ? Ron

I vote for Carlisle!
