Just test fit a 15x10, 65 weldwheel10.jpg 5.5 backspacing with a Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial 275-60-15. Fits great
 
Don't for get!!... try the other side i did the same thing with my 15x10 with a 5~inch back space and one side i could put my fingers between the tire and the wheel well... the other side, the wheel well sat right on top of the edge of the tire..Good luck, love that car !!

Was just going to say the same thing. My Charger has less room on the drivers side.
 
I did the same to my 65 satillite 10 x 15 they do fit tight but, they are in there and I like the looks.franfs car 108.jpgfranfs car 176.jpg
