Rebuilt the front end on my 66 Belvedere II and used all PST Poly Suspensions parts , I was told to use the RUBBER bushings in the LCA and that the UCA would be ok using the poly bushings, well that's incorrect, after 200-miles on car the uppers are squeaking, any suggestion besides trying to spray silicone on them and hope that might stop the squeaking or just replace them with rubber bushings

The reason to use the rubber bushings in the LCA is to lock in the pivot. The poly bushing allows the LCA to move around and change the toe in. Any time you use the poly stuff, it is gonna squeek. The best cure I have found for it is turning up the stereo.....

Poly will always squeak.. would be a good place to put a grease fitting...

I did use the rubber bushings on LCA with new pivot shafts also, I guess I should have used rubber on UCA, the only time I can hear the squeaking is when I seat in car before starting it up, exhaust is loud so it hides it but I'm not that guy, if I know something is wrong I fix it

Get a remote starter and use rubber next time around... nothing is broken.

During the assembly of the bushing. The bushings are assembled with poly grease. The outer shell is line with grease, bushing pressed in and then the inner sleeve is installed. That is why when you first remove them from the bag you will feel a sticky film on the bushing. I have gotten calls in the past of a similar issue to yours. What I have suggested in the past was to back off the cam bolts(mark them to keep your alignment) and us a sprayable lithium grease in between the washer part of the sleeve and the bushing. In the majority of the cases this has solved the problem. If I can help you in anyway let me know.

Thanks
James

I have PST poly bushings. I used lots of the assembly lube and they do not squeek.

A couple of them I had to take out and put more lube on as they squeeked at first. Now everything is good.
