use need a adapter which they make or manual steering column the power steering column is about 2 inches shorter also you need a manual steering gearbox coupler you might need a pitman arm if the gearbox has a shank

If you are not in a hurry why not look for someone that wants to trade you their manual setup for your power setup? Columns, steering box, the whole shebang.

got a used manual box for my 67 for 75 bucks.flaming river coupler is well worth the price,its great.

Thanks! Time wasn't on my side so l paid the big bucks and bought the Flaming River box and coupler. They are located 20 min from me so l just went and picked them up. Thanks Visa!

About 25 years ago I did the power to manual conversion...and I've always wanted to change it back. It was on my heavy 77 Cordoba. I didn't like the sloppiness of the power steering. No sloppiness after, just needs lots of arm to turn the wheels when parking ect. Not fun anymore.
Now I'm looking at Firm Feel Stage 3 along with Fast Ratio Pitman Arms, plus the pump and pulleys, brackets....

I understand your wanting to change it back, those Cordobas were heavy for sure we had a 77 also. I want to drag my car now and then and take it to an occasional show so for me, manual was the way to go.

Very nice and your eng really looks awesome ! I love a clean eng and eng bay. You can be proud of your car and your work ! I take it you have to cut the steering shaft to install that unit ?

Like you, I also like a clean engine/bay.
I did have to remove the column and cut a sizable chunk out of it to make it fit but I am happy with the results. I have never had to do so much modifying to parts that are supposed to bolt right on! I expected to be cutting the coupler but not the column. At any rate, it wasn't that big a deal, just typical of the hot rod life. If you aren't prepared to modify, you aren't prepared! I hope to have the car on the road next week....
