With all the upgrades out there.... replace the old wires and connections go with a bigger wire and grounds.... don't expect the old wires to handle anything it's a fire waiting to happen... I chase everything wires by wire and reroute away from heat and moving parts also keep them secure from vibrations. There is friction tape and looms and every color available the solid brass ends and gold plated connectors.... I usually run extra power and fuses separately so I can tell my harness from the original one... a lot of times the wire looks good but has lost its conductivity from corrosion or heat ... lot of nice cars with crap wires out there...

Mine is one of them! :headbang:...new gauges, wire throughout...next on my list after new master cylinder! Thanks!

Especially when YearOne has a 25% to 30% off sale on the best wiring available. YearOne bought the licensing rights from Chrysler to build (M&H) the harnesses.

One of the best electrical mods I have done is installing a headlight relay so the switch doesn't have so many amps going through it.

X2 on Ron Francis. I'm sure the yearone harness is good if you are looking for an exact replacement however the price is too high and it still has the same weakness as the orginal .

Nope, M&H who manufactures the wiring uses top quality wire which is a big upgrade to the original wiring. Does Ron Francis offer a nicer plug and play firewall plug, the only downfall to the original.

That is a good upgrade. I may do it on my 63 one day. Ron

A complete re-wire is an added upgrade to promote longevity. M&H is the best with Evans being a very close second. Just Evans OC is IMHFO lax and poor at times. Relays also will help. But the best upgrade is to do the MAD electrical ammeter upgrade and by pass that weak link all together. Then wire in an Amp Meter and the rest is good to go.

Where could I find info on where to get me one and how/where to install? I'm planning on swapping out all my factory gauges to aftermarket ones, headlights to HID's, then I want to start changing/relocating wires.
