Sounds like a fantastic year to go. There's going to be a lot of Mopar action there. Never been and unfortunately am probably a year away from going.

As a side question - forgive me but where is Carlisle? Not familiar with the name.

No, I don't think you can get in Thursday unless you're setting up your own swap meet booth

I believe the same as last year, Sat 12:00 at Moparmarks lot full of dessert metal?

OH yea see all my MI Mopar peeps on the road down.

Some what of a let down this year. Less vendors, many empty swap sellers spots open, very little showing in the show field. For AS GREAT as the weather was, it was the reverse for the Nats in general. Terrible management at the gates.

Just arrived in Detroit fresh from the Nat's and thought I would offer my observation. This was my first Nat's event, so I cannot compare it to the past, but somehow I expected more. The weather was fantastic, there were plenty of fine Mopars on display, and in action, but my expectations were higher with regard to other than racing activities. We didn't get in until Saturday afternoon, so we were late and didn't get to experience the entire three days, however the sentiment amongst those that we talked to seemed to be as you described above ..., "Somewhat of a letdown".

All in all we had a blast and it was well worth the 17 hour drive. The Heath Cruise was off the hook I plan to be back next year.

Bring on the Dream Cruise, we're here early! :headbang:

I was there with Kahn all day Sat, the only people that showed up for the meet was us and Mitch and of coarse moparmarks was there since it was at his lot. Once again FABO had an impressive meet up but nothing from the B Body guys.

Agreed, this was my first year for the cruise and thought it was pretty crazy (I'll be back next year).

Had a great time at the Nat's, although fairly disorganized. Talked with Devin and Kahn at the meet up. Here's a few pics of Devin's awesome Charger

Had a great time at the Nats Fri and Sat. Did not cruise Heath or 21st Street as we had a Mid Ohio Mopars cook out Fri night and I went home Sat about 4P.
Yes less Midway and Swap vendors but still better then cutting grass and staying home. Had no trouble getting in to our fun field area with the car.

On the other hand:
Been going every year for almost 20 yrs. THIS year I actually WON a raffle prize! It looked like about 40 or 50 names on the board with only 16 names crossed off when I got there today (Sat) about 4pm. They offered me a $1.50 flash light like from Big Lots or a 25 cent plastic funnel too small to use to change oil! WTF Less then 20 Raffle prizes given out if the board was even close to being correct and all they had was something I would not even use at a local car cruise.

I have been almost every year....
it seems to get a little worse every year. but I keep going go figure. its fairly close(4 1/2 hour drive) and all mopars...so cant complain to much.
the car show field look so thin I didn't even go over there. swap meet seemed usual for me. the vendors area mixed with the dyno challenge was a clustermess....and needs to be moved somehow. all in all a good weekend. took my wife for the first time and she made a good parts carrier throughout the day! :)

My son and I made it there Sat. about 10:00. Hadn't been able to attend for 2 or 3 years due to family health issues. Only 1.5 hr. drive so worth the trip. The RR is still in process but look out next year. I too was a little disappointed in the vendor turn out but with all the online sales these days I can understand them avoiding the costs of going to a show. My biggest complaint,"Golf Carts Out of Control". Blocking walkways, abandoned in the middle of everything, and no courtesy to foot traffic, to the point of being dangerous. Don't have a good answer for that, but some rules need to be established and enforced.
