It's sitting next to our 1971 Challenger in our cul de sac.

Here's what I know. It's an SE, as I said it's kind of a warm silver, blue leather interior. The dash has Amp, Oil, Temp, Gas, A big speedo on the right and big fancy clock with hour and minute in the center and second around the outside. 727 console shift. Black vinyl top. Turn indicator lights in the hood and hide away headlights, do they all have that? AC PS PB. (Drums) It seems to have a tall gear and no locking differential, No problem doing 70 and steady as a rock. Matching numbers 383 2V but has a 4V now. Black Bumble Bee stripe. Had a luggage rack not on right now. Overall in great condition.:blob1:

Big brother and little sister parked quietly, priceless!

They look awesome, congrats.

Very nice! Congrats!

As far as I know the turn signals were in the hood and hideaway headlights on most models, but not all.

sure looks like it RC ,very nice looking car :headbang:

Yes, turns out he was about 10 miles from me. It has a few issues but nothing I will worry about for years. And I will let my savings account build back up. BTW you can see my Newfoundland dog waiting for me in the driveway. Her name is Little Bear.

Not a bad car from what I saw on the fleabay ad & if that's the price you paid, I think you did very well. Congrats!

Pretty much a lot of learning on here for a year. This was my take away. Buy a basket case in the teens and spend endless hours and $$$ on it or buy one in the 20's that was done. This one isn't done, DONE, but I traded what wasn't done for originality, matching numbers etc. I also saved $750 shipping by buying local. Realize you are seeing this ad at the end. Originally it was listed at buy it now for $35K. I talked to guy three times. I knew he lowered his reserve to $26K. I bid 26,150. It was dumb luck someone else bid $25,900 or they had a shill bidder.

congrats & nice purchase,
looks to be straight & clean,
Love the silver paint

Look like a good deal to me just from looking at the pics. Sure beats the hell out of driving any new car that you could buy for that price. Congrats Steve.:icon_thumleft::icon_thumleft:

A young couple next to me knows I buy cars fix them and sell them. They asked if they could buy this one. Not for many many years. I will be selling the numbers matching Hemi Orange 1971 Charger 500. I'm right in the middle of it now so I don't know what it will be worth. I had the original HP 383 rebuilt. It's pretty optioned out too, Auto Slapstick, AC PB PS. This isn't an ad so enough about that.

Does anyone know about that clock inside the clock deal on the 1969. I'm no expert on these cars so was that the normal deal on a car without the tick tock tach? My son said you could show up dressed in a suit in this '69 Charger. I'm sure he will be a new member here, his name is Bryce, I've mentioned him often.

Good luck & yes you did the right thing to buy done turn key,
You get to enjoy instead of busting your *** & years of starring at it,
Nice car,

Moparsal is right about buy it done, it took years of work and looking at it before mine was done, enjoy.

I think the clock was std. on base models & SE's & the tick toc tach/clock tach combo, was an added option, on 2nd gen Charger's that weren't R/T's
{or maybe 440ci BB or Hemi, Charger 500's too ?}
IIRC anyway, I could be wrong thou...

Since you don't have the tic-toc-tach, yep your clock is fairly normal. I think it was still an option (might have been standard on SE, I don't know) but some dashes didn't have anything in that circle but a blank panel. Picture from eBay:

If you're wanting to add the tic-toc-tach, they're fairly easy to find but not cheap http://www.chargerspecialties.com/tachos.htm

Welcome to the best site on the internet! You definitely get fed on here with answers to your questions and plenty on additional knowledge.

BTW - I used to live in Colo Sprgs for about 10 years. Fantastic place. I really miss it. Where do you guys share your experiences? Is there a local street racing spot?
